    Financial Accountant

    Job Description

    • Working within our Finance team, this position will be responsible for a range of accounting activities for multiple companies within the Group. You will report to the Financial Manager.
    • This position will be based in Durbanville.
    • Main Accountabilities include but are not limited to:

    Daily/Weekly:

    • Management of the Finance Administration team
    • Ensuring DEXT/APMax/XERO are up to date with processing turnarounds per normal SLA with Finance Administration team
    • Review and releasement of payments
    • GRN Health Check across SYSPRO
    • AP and AR age analysis reviews with instructions to Finance Administration team
    • Management and capturing of Foreign Payment Cashflow

    Monthly:

    • Fixed Asset Register (FAR) maintenance (Additions/disposals/Depreciation) – as well as Wear & Tear register.
    • Monthly Management Journals (Provisions/Accruals/Interbranch allocations)
    • Intercompany – Loans and Invoicing (Cost Recoveries/Recharges)
    • VAT Preparation for Financial Manager Review
    • Balance Sheet Reconciliation preparation for review with Financial Manager

    Technical skills:

    • Honours degree in Accounting or suitable BCom degree (Management Accounting/Business Management)
    • 2 – 3 years relevant accounting experience (Can include Articles)
    • Advantageous if Articles have been completed, alternatively SAICA or CIMA Articles
    • Excellent PC skills (MS Office, Syspro and Pastel experience would be advantageous)
    • Good knowledge of IFRS standards

    Personal skills and attributes:

    • Excellent planning, organizational and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to exercise resilience when facing challenges
    • Deadline driven
    • Demonstrates a positive hands-on can-do attitude
    • Able to work independently, yet be a team player

    E-Commerce Coordinator

    Job Purpose:

    • This role is responsible for the e-Commerce coordination and customer collections at the Cape Town DC in Epping. This role reports to the e-Commerce & Customer Supervisor.


    Main Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    e-Commerce:

    • Process all e-Commerce refunds in line with Company policy and procedures
    • Ensure that stationery and packaging orders for e-Commerce are processed timeously
    • Load manual orders and submit to customer if online payment fails, or if order needs to be adjusted
    • Ensure that all customer care and service request (SR) queries are attended to and resolved in a timeous manner
    • Ensure that all Cape Town DC customer collections are processed timeously and accurately.
    • Ensure good working knowledge of all e-Commerce procedures and serve as backup to e-Commerce & Customer Supervisor when she is out of the office

     Collections:

    • Ensure that all Cape Town DC customer collections are processed timeously and accurately.

     Ad-Hoc And Other Duties:

    • Ensure good working knowledge of all e-Commerce procedures and serve as backup to e-Commerce Supervisor when he/she is on leave/ out of the office
    • Serve as backup to Inventory Supervisor when he/she is on leave/ out of the office
    • Perform any other related duties as and when required

     
    Technical Skills:

    • Minimum Grade 12
    • Good working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)
    • Minimum of 1 – 2 years functional working experience in a similar field

    • Good administrative skills
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and to meet deadlines
    • Positive, can-do attitude and a highly organized and structured work approach
    • Ability to work within and contribute positively to e-Commerce team
