Who are we looking for?

• We want experienced and knowledgeable proposal specialists, also known as bid managers, bid consultants, or bid coordinators, to join our winning work team. You will develop and implement win strategies, and manage teams to deliver quality, compliant, and compelling proposals and pursuit documents.

Responsibilities:

• Analyse RFPs, tender documents, and client requests to understand clients’ needs
• Research clients and opportunities
• Plan and manage the entire proposal/pursuit process
• Develop and implement win strategies
• Coordinate and manage contributions from subject matter experts according to strict timelines
• Collate and edit content provided by subject matter experts to ensure a uniform style across all documents
• Edit and/or rewrite generic content for proposals
• Create and customise CVs and project case studies to sell our skills and experience
• Create designs and use Zutari templates in MS Word and PowerPoint to create well branded documents
• Brief graphics team for more specialised graphic support
• Contribute to the development of commercial offers
• Contribute to creating and maintaining the winning work content library
• Ensure bids are compliant and delivered on time
• Do proposal reviews and share lessons learnt

Education

• Degree or diploma in communications, marketing, journalism, humanities, or related disciplines.

Experience

• At least 5 years’ experience in a proposal environment, preferably within engineering, construction, finance or consulting
• Experience with donor funded bids will be beneficial

Role responsibilities

• Ensure that all discipline documentation is prepared, circulated, approved, transmitted and filed in accordance with procedures.
• Engineering design in accordance with established design standards and criteria for the project, including:
• Checking and approval of finished drawings for full compliance with the intent of the design, specification and quality requirements all in accordance with drawing check lists.
• Approve drawings in the capacity of Professional Engineer when required.
• Revision co-ordination across disciplines and control by means of clear instruction to design team and approval of such revisions in accordance with change procedures.
• Checking and approval of contractor furnished designs.
• Pre-selection of equipment types to suit the project and final selection of actual equipment to be used, following the bid evaluation process.
• Preparation of the technical content of enquiry documentation typically including a scope description, technical specification, drawings, datasheets and Bills of Quantity (BOQ)
• Generate and maintain equipment schedules, BOQ, Material Take Offs (MTO's) and monitoring against control budgets.
• Handling of site queries and providing site support as necessary.
• Compile commissioning, operating and maintenance manuals.
• Audits, inspections, factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing.
• On site commissioning activities as required.
• Participate in Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) studies as required

Minimum requirements

• BSc/MSc , or BEng/MEng in Electrical/Mechatronic/Computer Electrical or Electronic Engineering
• Minimum of 10 or more years' experience as a Control, and Instrumentation Design Engineer.
• Control, and Instrumentation work relating to mining, including feasibility studies, basic engineering, detailed engineering, procurement, tender evaluation, construction quality assurance and commissioning.
• ECSA Registered

Role Responsibilities:

• Leading small to medium sized structural drafting teams, focusing on high quality Drawing production and modelling integration on large-scale Industrial structures in multidisciplinary projects
• Play a critical role in the teams’ efforts in designing, modelling and drafting
• Leading infrastructure design projects in the Industrial market
• Implementation of draughting standards in accordance with project specific digital plan.
• Implement quality control on own and other draughts persons’ outputs in accordance with project specific requirements
• Communicate progress with Australia/New Zealand-based design teams on an on-going basis (and with local team).

Minimum requirements

• Relevant Qualification/Recognised Industry Certification
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Structural Drafting
• ProStructures and MicroStation will be an advantage.
• Able to self-check
• Ability to prepare high quality, accurate drawings and have an awareness and understanding of CADD functions to a competent level.
• Ability to interact with internal and external Clients in completing projects.
• Ability to work in a team spread over different locations
• Knowledge and experience of Australia and New Zealand engineering codes, standards, and practices is an advantage
