    Farm Supervisor Bayview

    The ideal candidate would be responsible for:

    • Responsible for Broiler houses.
    • Managing staff, risk management and bio-security.
    • Clear understanding of registers, graphs, vaccination, ventilation and bin reading.

    The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:

    • A Matric Qualification.
    • 5 years relevant Broiler experience in supervising a large poultry production complex.
    • Computer knowledge will be an advantage.
    • High standard towards housekeeping and attention to detail.
    • Clear understanding of 20 Keys.

    Millwright Foreman

    Qualifications: 

    • Must be a qualified Artisan
    • Minimum N4 qualification mechanical and electrical theory. 
    • N6 Diploma Electrical and Wireman's certificate advantageous. 
    • PLC and VSDs certificate

    Experience:

    • Previous experience in electrical/repair of poultry Processing and Rendering Plant equipment will be advantageous
    • Proven experience in a supervisory role

    The ideal candidate would be responsible for:

    • Routine maintenance on all Rendering Plant equipment
    • Dealing with all unscheduled processing interruptions resulting from breakdown
    • Full control of production processes and responsibility for maintaining production standards
    • Responsible for all labour-related issues, including ensuring that all positions are managed at all times
    • Dealing with all disciplinary matters appropriately and according to the company’s disciplinary code

    Managing Director: Feed

    Qualifications:

    • BSc degree in Agriculture or other relevant tertiary qualification.
    • Post graduate diploma/degree in Business Administration will be advantageous.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in feed manufacturing or within an integrated poultry producer operation.
    • 5 Years of experience at a Senior Management level.
    • Proven track record in managing large-scale feed operations and delivering financial growth.
    • Strong understanding of poultry nutrition, feed formulation, and raw material markets.
    • Experience in regulatory frameworks for feed manufacturing.

    Responsibilities:

    Operational & Feed Manufacturing Management

    • Oversee optimal production efficiency, feed quality, and compliance with all food safety and feed manufacturing regulations.
    • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to ensure cost-effective production while ensuring high-quality output and compliance with industry standards.
    • Ensure supply chain resilience and raw material procurement strategies within an integrated poultry producing environment.

    Financial & Commercial Management

    • Take full P&L responsibility for the Feed Division, ensuring profitability and financial sustainability.
    • Lead financial planning, budgeting, and cost control measures to improve financial performance.
    • Drive financial analysis and cost-saving initiatives, ensuring long-term commercial success.

    Stakeholder & People Leadership

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including key customers, suppliers, regulators and industry associations.
    • Lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, development, and innovation.
    • Drive talent management, succession planning, and leadership development within the Feed Division.

    Risk & Compliance Management

    • Ensure bio-security protocols are strictly followed to mitigate disease risks and maintain industry standards.
    • Implement robust internal control systems to minimize operational risks.
    • Ensure regulatory compliance with environmental laws, and agricultural policies.

    Strategic Leadership & Business Growth

    • Provide visionary leadership for the Feed Division, ensuring alignment with Astral Foods' long-term strategic plan and overall vision.
    • Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence across all feed mills.
    • Oversee competitive positioning, pricing strategies, and market share growth.

    Innovation & Sustainability

    • Champion R&D in feed formulation, animal nutrition, and alternative feed ingredients.
    • Drive sustainable initiatives, including resource efficiency, waste reduction and responsible sourcing.
    • Stay ahead of industry trends and technological advancements to maintain Astral’s competitive edge.

    Buyer Administration Camperdown KZN - KZN278

    The ideal candidate would be responsible for:

    • Receive proof of delivery documents for all National Chicks stock & non-stock items.
    • Match PODs to invoices and check quantities and prices agree to order.
    • Receipt on SYSPRO ERP system.
    • Attach all relevant paperwork and forward to creditor department once processed.
    • Follow up on all outstanding delivery documentation.
    • Ensure stock and non-stock items are receipted timeously on a daily basis.
    • Follow up and reconcile POD paperwork received from Gauteng.
    • 20 Keys program

    The successful candidate must meet the following requirements: 

    • Grade 12 
    • Minimum of 2-3 years working experience 
    • Working experience within procurement would be an advantage
    • Syspro ERP systems experience will be an added advantage
    • Minimum of 2-3 years MS Office experience; MS Outlook and MS Excel 
    • Own transport would be necessary
    • Able to work weekends, public holidays and out of usual working hours as and when required

    • Ability to work within a team environment - a key requirement.
    • Must have a reliable vehicle with a valid code 8 driver’s license.
    • Participate in cross pollination of duties within the sales department.
    • Must be computer literate.
    • Good communication skills.
    • Must be a team player.
    • Must have own reliable transport.
    • Be able to work on assigned target volumes.
    • Able to work on forecasts and budgets.
    • Think out of the box and independently.
