    Data Governance Analyst

    Purpose Statement

    • To motivate, steer and support the execution of the Data Governance framework, policies and standards.
    • Responsible for the operational execution of the effective adoption and oversight of one of the Data Governance portfolios across the organisation.
       

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology - Computer Science or Information Management

    Experience

    Minimum:

    • Experience in data dictionary and metadata management using automated tools

    Ideal:

    • 2 years data governance or similar level analysis experience
    • Practical experience with data governance or Data Quality and Metadata Management tools software/programs
    • Preference towards banking environment, with large-scale data experience
    • Data modelling experience

    Knowledge

    Minimum:
    Detailed knowledge:

    • Solid understanding of databases and data structures
    • Exposure to query/database language
    • IT systems development processes
    • Business analysis and design
    • Standards and governance
    • Familiar with regulatory requirements such as POPIA, GDPR and PCI DSS

    Business Analyst: Card Management System - Acquiring

    Purpose Statement

    • Responsible for identifying and accurately documenting Acquiring related business needs/requirements, concerning a new idea/business opportunity and for the introduction of a new Card and Merchant Management system
    • Compile and execute test cases to ensure delivery is according to business requirements
    • Analyse implemented solutions and recommend further improvements, which will improve service, quality and value

    Experience

    • At least 6 - 8 years’ experience as Business Analyst (BA) with a specific focus on the Merchant Acquiring business and payment processing environment

    Qualifications (Minimum)

    • Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational
    • A relevant tertiary qualification in Business Analysis

    Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)

    • A relevant degree in Information Technology or Information Technology - Computer Science
