Key Responsibilities: 

• Engages in the order fulfillment process (order to cash) in order to ensure delivery of outstanding customer service to customers. 
• Works with cross-functional teams on continuous Service Level improvement and elimination of customer supply chain inefficiencies. 
• Drives the implementation of the Customer Engagement Supply Chain strategy with focus on collaborative end-to-end Supply Chain initiatives to foster mutual growth and profitability. 
• Analyses KPI’s to understand service and efficiency trends and finds opportunities for improvement with customers based on the Customer Engagement Supply Chain Strategy and Advantage Survey results. 
• Implements beneficial projects such as EDI, Collaborative Planning, VMI, Data Synchronization etc. 
• Finds opportunities to optimize “Cost to Serve” and customer Minimum Order Value (MOV). 
• Provides the CD teams an extensive support in all of the logistics aspects. 
• Enforces Supply Chain Terms & Conditions with the Customer(s), in close collaboration with the CDT’s. 
• Conducts CS&L meetings with customers and participates in customer agreements and contracts preparation. 
• Effectively manages data flow, communication and processes associated with new and transitioning SKU’s, material status and ensures synchronization with customer’s database. 
• Establishes relationships at multiple levels within the customers’ organizations to pursue CP objectives in term of KPIs. 
• Seeks input from customers about their needs and expectations to continually improve Customer Service and Supply Chain performance. 
• Identifies key issues customers face and the related implications for the Supply Chain. 
• Communicates proactively with customers in case of supply chain issues in order to manage customer expectations. 

Required Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree

Job Summary:

• The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for providing both Electrical and Mechanical Engineering support to the plant, ensure plant reliability for manufacturing equipment through effective planned maintenance techniques

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the maintenance department to ensure plant reliability.
• Inspect all plant and equipment on a regular basis to ensure safe and optimum condition.
• Schedule maintenance on a planned and breakdown basis
• Supervise all legal inspections in the plant, Ensure all statutory and mandatory inspection is carried out.
• Co – ordinate, supervise and training of engineering staff in plant
• Provide technical support and after hours support to the plant
• Ensure that all engineering repairs and installations are done according to an acceptable CP standard
• Analyse engineering downtime, in order to carry out continuous improvements on all workstations.
• Analyse all workstations' performance on a daily basis, in order to display and update plant performance indicators
• Leading and Implementation of Planned Maintenance/Autonomous Maintenance as per the FP&R standard.
• Ensure all technicians are competent on SAP EAM - SAP EAM, Notification raised, orders raised, spare parts allocated and order closed on SAP.
• Ensure departmental KPIs are met.
• Control engineering: R&M spend portion of factory budget, budget (R2 – R6 million)
• Coordinate engineering cycle inventory. Manage engineering spare part stores.
• Ensure Engineering documentation is maintained and controlled
• Strong project management skills are required, Must be able to lead projects.
• Contractor management - Provide safe work permits to contractors, Perform contractor tool inspections prior to any work commencement. Ensure contractor compiles with CP EOHS, GMP and FP&R policies and standards
• Responsible for ensuring the company policies are adhered to within the department and carries out disciplinary procedures according to the company code.
• Conflict Handling and resolution
• Partner with Human Resources to ensure the requirements of the FP&R People Capability Standard are effectively implemented. This includes, but is not limited to: job descriptions for all operating and coordinating level positions, training and development plans and tracking
• Monitor daily production efficiencies, lot sizes and waste control, implement projects accordingly.
• Ensure good quality of RCA for all downtimes
• Operates with the highest level of sense of urgency and loop closure
• Stays abreast of the latest technical developments and identifies potential applications for manufacturing continuous improvement
• Vertical Start up post all PM activities
• Changeover Management - Optimises changeover practices and identifies opportunities for ongoing continuous improvement

People Management

• Directs the continuous improvement of the Project Engineering and Maintenance staff by selecting, recruiting, developing, and retaining highly competent people.
• Develops and implements performance evaluations, career development
• opportunities, and succession planning programs for the department.
• To direct, coordinate, plan and evaluate Technician activities and performance.

FP&R

• Leads Smart Maintenance Standard for the Facility and have effective Visual Control

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering 
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Maintenance & High Volume work in Fast Moving Consumer Goods
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in People Management 
• Prior experience in deploying CEB projects to improve plant operational excellence
• Managing within a unionized environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Government Certificate of Competency (GCC)
• Labour Relations Understanding will be an added advantage

• Control, Monitor and Manage Spare Parts / Equipments Cycle Inventory (Including Tags)
• Maintenance Program: Master Plan, AM, PM, Predictive M, Criticality of Equipment, Maintenance the right database in SAP EMA. important metrics, Training, SOPs, etc)
• Active participation in the development of Root Cause Analysis, FAP, CAPA, SOPs, Training, etc

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - 

• A Bachelor's degree, preferably in Mechanical engineering 
• Minimum 5 Years experience in a Maintenance Engineering role preferably in FMCG Environment 
• Proven knowledge and understanding of mechanical, electrical and utilities generation plants
