    Interim Global Finance Data Analyst

    Description

    Dentons is currently recruiting interim Global Finance Data Analysts; to support the implementation of a significant global Finance transformation program. This position will require a mix of organisational and administrative skills alongside strong data analysis skills. The role will report to the Global Finance R2R Lead and will interface with key stakeholders, the global finance BI lead, other global process leads and analysts to ensure successful implementation of this program; delivering business benefits identified in the business case, within agreed budget and program implementation timeframes.

    The Global Finance Transformation Program is a truly global program designed to transform Dentons' finance function into the business partnering function of the future. It will support the business by offering true business insight, efficient and effective processes while maintaining the necessary compliance and controls.

    The Global Finance Data Analysts will be responsible for data analysis and admin activities to support the Global Finance Transformation (GFT) BI Workstream, as part of the Global Finance Transformation program.

    Requirements

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Work with global BI/R2R workstream team members to perform data reconciliations and report testing as required for both the early benefits initiatives ( Financial Planning and Analytics tool – Tagetik, and the indirect tax tool - PWC Edge) as well as for the main 3E implementation

    2. Work with the BI, Data and R2R teams to document business data flows from the multiple systems providing data to, or taking data from, the global finance systems.

    3. Document all decisions and manage library of decisions made

    4. Ensure that all relevant parties are kept informed of progress and outcome, and providing regular status reporting to the global process lead.

    5. Work with the global data lead to ensure compliance with the GFT Data Governance processes and to ensure BI/GL/R2R data stays in synch with upstream and downstream systems.

    6. Work with regional and global change teams to prepare the business for the impact of the change in data.

    7. Accountable for maintaining workstream databases, documentation, program reports and calendars, and Workstream Teams folders

    About You

    • Business international level of English – both written and oral;

    • Demonstrable progressive experience in the area of data analytics

    • Strong analytical capability

    • Highly collaborative and able to work in a global environment, accommodating the different time zones. Only team players will be considered;

    • Particularly strong written communication skills;

    • Particularly strong organisational skills;

    • Strong understanding of Finance/IT practices and principles.

    • Experience of finance transformation programs preferable;

    • Experience on online collaboration tools and systems e.g. SharePoint,

    • Proven track record in acting as liaison between report writers/developers and the needs of the business to ensure all requirements/errors are accurately recorded and communicated and that all parties are working effectively to deliver business insight to Dentons

    • You will possess:

      • Excellent communications, influencing, and stakeholder management skills;

      • Experienced user of MS Office suite, including MS Project and MS Teams (advanced level and/or Microsoft certified) and DevOps

      • Have knowledge of Agile working practices;

      • Be versed in working across cultures and time-zones;

      • Be adept in responding to challenges and issues as they arise;

      • Be able to thrive working under pressure, and be able to multi-task;

      • Extensive experience of working with layers of engagement and approval;

      • Impeccable attention to detail and ability to work with a wide variety of people and projects in a collective and collaborative manner;

      • Analytically minded problem solver;

    Essential Qualifications / Experience

    • Experience of working as an analyst on international projects;

    • Experience of working in a legal/professional services firm;

    • Experience of working with finance and analytical processes, with proven track record of complex financial data reconciliations whilst working under pressure;

    • Experience of reporting/business intelligence platforms

    • Experience of preparing data flows.

    Interim Global Finance Transformation 3E Compliance Manager

    Description

    Dentons is currently recruiting an interim Global Finance Transformation 3E Delivery Compliance Analyst to support the implementation of Thomson Reuters Elite 3E Practice Management System, which is part of the Firm’s global Finance transformation program. The GFT 3E Delivery Compliance Analyst will be responsible to ensure the 3E solution developed adheres to data and security access controls of the Firm. The role will work closely with GFT suppliers, other program leads, Business Technology members, Business Process leads and Finance teams (regional and global). This role reports into the Global Finance Transformation 3E Delivery Solution Architect role.

    The 3E Delivery Compliance Analyst will work closely with peer roles in the business and technology areas of Design, Reporting, Data Conversion, Integrations, Environments and Testing to ensure integrated processes and common standards are being adhered to. This will include close collaboration with regional counterparts who will be coordinating similar activities to support regional adoption of Elite 3E.

    As a polycentric and global Firm, the 3E Delivery Compliance Analyst will bring experience working in large complex teams and environments and will bring techniques to ensure teams work effectively and efficiently.

    Key Areas of Focus

    • Identify elements of the GFT 3E solution that will need require monitoring and alignment to ensure compliance with key Dentons principles and requirements.

    • This includes:

      • Solution meets regional data residency requirements

      • 3E solution’s security architecture and user access

      • 3E user provisioning

      • Integrations with 3E including the flow of data and the solution architecture.

    • Ensure all aspects of GFT solution then comply, reporting any areas where there is non-compliance.

    • Work with global and regional Compliance personnel (eg. data privacy, security) to align procedures and regular reviews.

    • Work with the Systems Implementer to ensure all 3E development activities comply with set standards.

    • Ensure the GFT program remains aligned with internal and external regulatory requirements.

    • Effective and timely communication with vendors, GFT team and internal stakeholders.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Development of compliance framework for the 3E development.

    • Ongoing reviews, monitoring and reporting of compliance with global and regional teams, and the Systems Implementer

    • Ongoing review of internal and external regulatory requirements.

    • Assist with management of development of the User Provision solution for 3E.

    • Proactively liaise with Systems Implementer, TRE, Business Process leads and Business Compliance Analyst to resolve requirements queries.

    • Effective and timely status reports to Business, Technology and transformation team leadership.

    About You

      • Strong technical team leadership and supplier management is essential

      • Experience of legal finance and practice management systems (especially 3E) and supporting solutions and technologies (time & billing) will be highly desirable.

    • You will possess:

    • Post-secondary education with a specialization in Information Technology.

    • Minimum of 8 years progressive experience with legal platforms across a broad spectrum of technologies.
