    Supervisor, Operations, Contract Logistics

    Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12
    • 3-year Logistics, SC or relevant Qualification + min 2 years’ experience OR

    • Main purpose of the role

    Inventory Management:

    • Proactively control the risks associated with inventory.

    MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

    •  The role serves as the local subject matter expert for transport systems, integrations, transport rating structures and solution
    • Configuration within the DSV Contract Logistics transport environment and being single point for day-to-day user base support 
    • Enquiries (incidents, requests) at a local level as well as the escalation point for the same to both internal and external parties 
    • Accountable for the validation, configuration, implementation, support and continuous optimisation of transport system solutions across the DSV Contract Logistics environment. This includes customer and carrier onboarding, transport rating and charging structures, system integrations, solution enhancements, and the application of global standards and best practices. 
    • The role is further responsible for the design, coordination, implementation and support of integrations between DSV, customers, carriers and third-party technology providers.

    Key Account Manager, Air & Sea, Cape Town, South Africa

    Main Purpose of the Role

    • Key Account Manager of our large, medium and small sized clients and managing protecting, growing and innovating these businesses. Driving profitability with each of these clients, whilst adding value to the client’s supply chain and supporting with day to day requirements, strategic support and various DSV product service offerings.

    Job Related Requirements

    • Grade 12
    • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Freight Forwarding

    Tertiary Qualifications

    • B.Com Logistics/Supply Chain Management would be beneficial but not a requirement.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Managing multiple large and medium sized clients according to the stages in a client life cycle and logging on average 10 - 15 appointments weekly.
    • Ensuring the Executive Sponsor relationship is maintained with your client sponsor and the client
    • Creating and maintaining the client information pack
    • Manage the opening of accounts process as well as comprehensive implementation of – and continuous updating of client information

    • Monitoring and manage Triple Deck Verification and executive sponsor activity for top accounts
    • Maintain, analyse and update Account Management strategy on a monthly basis which includes:
    • Monitoring service levels and volumes for each mode (air, ocean, road, etc.) and department (exports, imports, logistics, etc.).
    • Monitoring client’s payment cycles as well as outstanding payments in order to ensure compliance with payment terms and agreements.
    • Monitoring credit notes
    • Monitoring write-offs
    • Monitoring opportunities for new/extended business & QVA.
    • Maintain and update the Client Account Plan for top clients in portfolio and global accounts.
    • To compile and assist with client Tenders.
    • To assist in conducting customer surveys as may be required by other DSV departments or management.
    • Compile and present any other reports as may be required by DSV management on a regular or ad hoc basis
    • To maintain an acceptable & professional conduct and dress code in line with company guidelines
