Main purpose / objective of the position:

• To ensure that finance is seen as a value adding business partner (Business, Tenants, Property Asset Management and External clients). Develop Finance's influence in the making of business decisions.
• Analyses of financial, trading, retailer and other associated data by collecting, monitoring and studying data; recommending actions.
• Specifically looking at the analysis of retail property portfolio and trends.
• To develop systems that cater for the reporting needs of Property Owners.

Experience / Education:

• B Com with Accounting 3 with Honours as well as 5 years relevant experience. Property experience would be advantageous.

Knowledge and Skills required:

• Computer literacy: SAP/SAP BI; MS Office - Excel Advanced, Outlook and Word, Business Specifications Corporate Finance, Developing Standards, Problem Solving, Process Improvement, Cost Accounting, Statistical Analysis, Financial Planning and Strategy, Reporting Research Results, Requirements Analysis, Financial analysis and research of debtors, trading strategies and rental categories, Analyse statistics of retailers and practically analyse sustainability streams of rental income. Detailed knowledge of all financial policies, procedures and processes, capital expenditure, contract management, legal aspects.

• External: Contractors, Clients, Financial Directors, Tenants, Property Asset Management, Financial Directors, Accountants, Analysts.

Main purpose / objective of the position:

• Develop annual leasing strategies within determined timeframes as per client requirements.
• Liaise and negotiate transactions with current and prospective tenants and ensure that the Company’s interest in respects relating to finance, legal and tenant mix are met.
• Canvassing of and liaison with potential tenants to establish and maintain good relationships in order to market and let JHI managed vacant space to the best possible terms. To manage the new deals for the Portfolio across South Africa.

Decision making authority:

• Work independently within a broad framework of existing policies, guidelines and mandates.
• Act logically and debatebly, consider own alternatives in deal-making and provide solutions to prospective tenants’ (client) enquiries and queries.

Experience / Education:

• Grade 12. 
• Relevant experience in a retail leasing environment, including a good knowledge of market trends, the complexities of deal making and negotiations, space marketing trends and marketing skills/principles. Staff / team Management experience a recommendation.
• Valid Fidelity Fund Certificate. Education as per the EEAB requirements a strong recommendation.
• Management of High End, High Profile mixed use buildings.
• Strong relationship with National and International Retailers.
