    Consulting Strategic Project Manager

    About Role:

    • The role presents an outstanding opportunity for personal development, offering the chance to gain frequent exposure to strategic discussion making and projects, running of the Consulting business, and insight by senior leaders of the business.

    Your key responsibilities

    • Responsible for all Consulting engagement on behalf of the Africa Consulting leader, including: communications, meetings, dinners, etc. This includes preparation of all materials, events and engagement activities.
    • Responsible for working closely with the Internal Communications function to ensure all messaging aligns with strategic and leadership objectives and monitor quality of messages from the Africa Consulting leader to the Consulting business.
    • Draft all confidential communications on behalf of the Africa Consulting Leader.
    • Ensure all outputs from projects managed are of an excellent quality and consider change management implications of projects implemented.
    • Develop a strong network across all levels of staff within the Consulting business. 
    • Work closely with the Africa Consulting Leader and leadership team to develop and implement the Global, Africa Consulting strategy.
    • Identify and implement initiatives and projects relating to all parts of the Consulting strategy in a way that supports our key strategic objective of Shaping the future with Confidence.
    • Project manage and offer operational and strategic support to the Africa Consulting Leader and leadership team on all Africa Consulting key priorities and initiatives on a project-by-project basis.
    • Ensure management information is accessible and ensure its timely availability for reports/presentations.
    • Arrange and coordinate Consulting leadership meetings and strategy sessions, including setting agendas, production of inputs, producing minutes and follow up actions from all meetings.
    • Assist with the coordination of all meetings taking place in Africa by visiting Global / Super region Consulting delegates.
    • Will work daily with and be counselled by the Africa Consulting Leader.  Will also be of support to the Africa Consulting COO and Africa Consulting Clients and Industries Leader as required.

    General

    • Become involved in adhoc additional projects as required by the Africa Consulting Leader.
    • Write presentations and reports for the Africa Consulting leader and leadership when required.

    Professional Experience:

    • 10+ years of relevant experience in a professional services or consulting environment.
    • 10+ years of experience in designing and delivering analytics solutions for audit and forensic clients using a broad range of analytical toolsets (e.g., PowerApps, SQL, Python, R, PowerBI).
    • 7-10 years of experience in managing people and budgeting within a business area.

    Skills and Competencies:

    • Customer-centric solution mindset with strong analytical and logical thinking skills.
    • Strong understanding of modern data science methodologies and analytics development.

    Senior Manager - IT Audit

    The opportunity 

    • We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager to join our Technology Risk – Assurance team, with a specialised focus on PCAOB-aligned IT audits.
    • This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality IT audit services in support of financial audits for both public and private sector clients, particularly those subject to PCAOB oversight.
    • You will lead complex IT audit engagements, manage client relationships, and provide strategic insights into IT risk, governance, and compliance.     Your key responsibilities: 

    • This candidate will be required to participate in both internal and external audit services. This includes, but is not  limited to: 
    • Lead and manage IT audit engagements aligned with PCAOB standards, including SOX 404, ISAE3402, and SOC1/SOC2.
    • Oversee the evaluation of IT general controls (ITGCs), application controls, and automated business process controls.
    • Collaborate with financial audit teams to integrate IT audit procedures into the overall audit strategy.

    • Mentor and develop junior staff, ensuring high-quality deliverables and audit documentation.

    Fincrime/AML/Compliance - Associate Director

    • Drive regional initiatives to enhance financial crime controls, risk assessments, and training.
    • AML Officer – South Africa
    • Serve as the designated AML Officer for South Africa, ensuring compliance with FICA
    • Ensures compliance with the RMCP
    • Maintain and update AML procedures in line with evolving regulatory expectations.
    • Co-ordination of training programmes across the SA firm to enhance awareness and understanding of the legislation
    • AML Folder Review and Monitoring – South Africa

    • Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
    • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential compliance risks.
    • Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance-related matters.

    Africa Assurance Innovation and Digital Data Engineer - Associate 1

    Role – Africa Assurance Innovation and Digital Data Engineer – Associate 3

    • The Africa Assurance Innovation and Digital Data Engineer (“Data Engineer”) is responsible for the extraction of data from ERP systems for the South Africa Data Delivery Team (“SA DD”). The Data Engineer will also be required to have a good understanding of key ERPs including, but not limited to SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, AccPac, Navison, Sage and other common ERPs used in South Africa, and be able to construct scripts to extract data.

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Extract data for the South Africa Assurance business and share this with our Data Analysts.
    • Knowledge of key ERPs including but not limited to SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, AccPac, Navison, Sage and other common ERPs used in South Africa.
    • Be able to construct scripts that will allow for the extraction of data for core digital analytical tools.
    • Closely working with the Data Delivery Specialist to extract data.
    • Participate in the SA DD Team’s learning and sharing initiatives.
    • Staying abreast of developments in EY’s digital solutions and developments in the market to be able to extract the appropriate data.
    • Supporting reactive and proactive projects related to driving demand from the South Africa Assurance business and improving service delivery from the SA DD Team.
