    Golf Cart Technician - George

    We are now accepting applications for a Golf Cart Technician – someone with drive and passion for the industry, with the ability to keep up with the high pace, and a sincere commitment to exceed expectations.
     
    The successful applicant will have to ensure that the Fancourt cart fleet and GPS units are maintained and in satisfactory condition.
     

    • The position also requires that the candidate has a minimum qualification of Grade 12 or equivalent, a valid drivers’ license, and 2 years’ experience in a Golf Maintenance workshop and/or basic mechanical knowledge obtained in a workshop. Experience in the repairing of golf carts will be advantageous.

    Duties include, but are not limited to: 

    • Planning, reporting, managing and the overall upkeep of the Fancourt cart fleet;
    • Planning, reporting, managing and the overall of the Fancourt cart barn;
    • Ensuring efficient and safe day to day running of the fleet;
    • Carrying out preventative maintenance and ensuring that all machinery and equipment is serviced regularly;
    • Adherence to health and safety standards.
    • We are looking for candidates who have their own accommodation in George / surrounds, who are prepared to work weekends, Public holiday and shifts, and who are fit and able to carry out the normal responsibilities attached to this role.

    Operations Auditor - George

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Operational Auditor will be responsible for:

    • Reliability of financial and management reporting (reviewing all transactions within the business with a view to identify and investigate inefficiencies, revenue losses, potential fraud and compliance variances);
    • Safeguarding of Assets (ad-hoc attendance and evaluation of all stock takes within the operational units + asset control);
    • Revision of and recommendations on process and procedures, monitoring implementation to avoid repeat deviation / loss / risk occurrences;

    KEY QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: This position requires:

    • Minimum formal qualification required is a relevant tertiary qualification (minimum of NQF 6);
    • Minimum of 2 years comparable / relevant work experience;
    • IAT (Internal Audit Technician) Certification (CIA or CISA certification will be an advantage);
    • Knowledge of relevant technology (software and hardware), e.g. accounting, point of sale systems;
    • Advanced computer literacy, with a high proficiency in MS Excel, is essential;
    • Knowledge of SAP/Cimso will be hugely beneficial;
    • Proven experience in documenting, evaluating and improving the effectiveness of internal controls while meeting deadlines;
    • Hospitality industry experience would be an added advantage.

    KEY COMPETENCIES AND BEHAVIOURS:

    • The ideal candidate will be diligent, act with integrity, can practice self-control and has a high stress tolerance, is a team player, can be appropriately assertive. 

    We are looking for someone who:

    • have an inquisitive nature, with sound judgement,
    • has a passion for accuracy and compliance, coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
    • will not get derailed when everything is not clear-cut, but who can work through the uncertainty and get to the root cause of a problem.
    • The ideal candidate will be somebody with previous business experience that knows how to find the information they need, work out systems, go digging, and who is not scared of resistance.
