    Artisan: Millwright (7815)

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • A qualified Millwright with a Grade 12/N3 Technical Certificate/equivalent of other country qualifications plus Millwright Trade Certificate.

    EXPERIENCE:

    • 3 Years' experience on related earth-moving equipment.

    SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

    • Exposure to earth moving machinery
    • Have good trouble shooting knowledge on machines & familiar with standard tool requirements
    • Computer literate
    • Good understanding of maintenance philosophy
    • Good communication and inter-personal skills
    • Valid driver's license.

    JOB SPECIFICATIONS

    • Remains up to date with health and safety procedures.
    • Participates in planning of health and safety events and campaigns, take SHE into account in the planning of work output. Conducts hazard identification and risk assessment.
    • Implement the Komatsu Way 5S sorting, organising, cleaning, ordering and training.

    Foreman (Rope Shovel Section) (7029)

    Requirements and qualifications:

    •  Trade Certificate (Millwright preferred)
    • 4 or more years post trade experience in open cast mining enviroment servicing and maintaining rope shovels
    • 2 or more years supervisory experience
    • Knowledge of and experience in planning, scheduling, and managing projects essential.
    • Valid driver's license a pre-requisite

    Knowledge requirements:

    • Occupational Health and Safety Act.
    • Fundamentals of Labour relations Act.
    • Basic knowledge of SEIFSA agreements.
    • Computer literacy: Excel Basic; SAP basic.
    • Knowledge of Komatsu dump trucks( (930E-4&5)

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Determines detailed priorities with regards to planned work.

    Artisan Assistant III (7789)

    Minimum requirements:

    • Grade 12 
    • 6 months general workshop, technical environment experience /experience working on earthing moving machines. (An advantage)
    • Basic knowledge of workshop tools and machine repairs.
    • Ability to read, write and speak English, good communication and inter-personal skills.
    • Valid drivers' license (Essential)
    • Other certifications are an advantage (forklift, crane, welding) but not required.
    • SHE – basic knowledge of the Health and Safety act.
    • Must be safety orientated as machine movement and component movements are present.
