    Senior DTS Technician

    About this position

    • iMasFinance, a financial services Cooperative, is looking for a Senior DTS Technician. This position reports to the IT Service Desk Manager and is responsible for second-line user support, vendor and third-party incident management, preventative maintenance, and IT project rollouts.

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following
    Second-Line User Support:

    • Troubleshoot and resolve IT incidents within SLA.
    • Escalate issues to third-level support when necessary.
    • Provide management feedback and reporting.
    • Vendor and Third-Party Incident Management:
    • Manage incidents assigned to external vendors.
    • Escalate critical incidents and ensure timely resolution.

    Site Visits and Maintenance:

    • Conduct hardware repairs and troubleshooting.
    • Perform routine maintenance to ensure IT infrastructure reliability.

    Preventative Maintenance:

    • Ensure IT equipment is operational in line with disaster recovery plans.

    Project Implementation:

    • Support new site rollouts and hardware/software upgrades.
    • Set up and maintain workstation images.

    Management Reporting:

    • Provide timely and accurate reports on IT incidents and resolutions.

    Special Functions:

    • Provide advanced technical support for complex incidents.
    • Offer executive IT support for senior leadership.
    • Assist with physical access management and asset tracking.
    • Conduct end-user IT training to improve digital literacy.

    Qualifications & Experience
    Essential:

    • A+ Certification & MCP Qualification
    • 1-2 years of experience as a DTS Technician
    • Valid Driver’s License

    Preferred:

    • ITIL knowledge, N+ or MCSE certification

    Skills & Competencies

    • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure (LAN, WAN, Servers, Desktops, Security)
    • Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
    • Project management capabilities
    • Excellent customer service and communication skills
    • Ability to work independently and in a team

    System Administrator

    About this position

    • iMasFinance, a financial services Cooperative, is looking for a System Administrator. This position reports to the IT Service Desk Manager and is responsible for the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and support of iMas’ IT systems. The role focuses on managing user access, supporting onboarding and offboarding processes, and assisting with identity and access management (IAM) activities. The System Administrator helps ensure systems remain secure, reliable, and available, while supporting compliance requirements and smooth IT operations.

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

    Job Outputs:

    • Administer user access across all enterprise systems.
    • Identify redundant, outdated, or duplicate accounts.
    • Implement standardized access management processes.
    • Align access profiles with job functions and security policies.
    • Oversee the provisioning and deprovisioning of accounts for new hires, role changes, and terminations.
    • Coordinate with HR and line managers to ensure timely access updates.
    • Streamline workflows to minimize delays in account activation or closure.
    • Manage vendor accounts related to access.
    • Maintain and distribute scheduled business reports.
    • Add or remove users from distribution lists as needed.
    • Support IT communications requirements.

    Qualifications:

    • Matric/Grade 12 is essential
    • Advanced higher certificate or Diploma in IT, Computer Systems Engineering or related field is essential

    Experience:

    • 3-4 years’ operational experience as a Support Engineer/Desktop Technician is essential.
    • 1-2 years’ System Administrator is recommended.

    Knowledge and Skills:

    • Basic to intermediate understanding of IAM, AD, and M365 environments.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
    • Ability to manage time and stress effectively.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Upholds professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
