    Applications Group Technologist

    Position Summary

    Main Purpose of Job:

    • Lead execution and implementation of I&R projects through I2L process, at optimum cost, desired quality and compliant to local legislations and Nestle standards

    • Support and identify requirements for development and industrialization of new products

    • Lead, coordinate and implement continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing activities in the factory

    • Provide technical support to the factory to solve issues or implement new processing technologies and coach Operators in full understanding and effective operation of equipment.

    A day in the life of an Applications Group Specialist

    I&R Excellence:
    •    Lead I&R projects by working in cross-functional teams and following the I2L process
    •    Develop formulations aligned with PTC/R&D Center and in compliance with relevant legislations as well as NF criteria and 60/40 methodology
    •    Prepare and update Manufacturing dossiers and BOMs
    •    Identify new process requirements for the development and implementation of new products by applying the I2L process
    •    Identify opportunities to renovate products with improved processing conditions
    •    Lead industrial trials for new products and for new processing equipment
    •    Validate process capability trials and conditions
    •    Document in Manufacturing Dossiers the operational procedures for new processing equipment and compile SOPs
    •    Ensure smooth hand-over to operations of new processing technologies, with "zero" defect industrialization

    Quality and compliance:
    •    Ensure all I&R project tasks are aligned with internal standards and processes as per I2L, GIs/Mis
    •    Identify and implement equipment with best process capability and efficiency
    •    Proactively propose processing solutions to reduce production costs and improve efficiency

    Training & Coaching
    •    Increase knowledge within factory staff through training
     

     

    What will make you successful

    Academic Experience:

    • 2 years plus experience  preferably in new product development in Food manufacturing environment

    • BSc in Food Science Degree

    Business Experience:

    • Good technical knowledge of process operations in manufacturing

    • Competent in relevant manufacturing processes

    End to End Manager

    Position Summary

    To manage a designated team, plant and materials in a culture of performance monitoring, review and action, open communication, employee involvement and employee relations, continuous improvement in support of achieving organization purpose and objectives

    A day in the life of an End to End Manager

    End to End Manager: 

    • Ensure that Bulk and finished products are consistently manufactured meeting prescribed standards (compliant), on time and meeting consumer expectations

    • Effectively manage the WG's , ensure exchange of information (cascade Target/escalate issues) for alignment with the objectives in the short term and LLT's for Short and long term to achieve production plan and to identify and achieve performance improvements.  Motivate, guide, support and coach the resources to achieve objectives and to act in accordance with NCE guidelines. 

    • Maintain a safe working environment in compliance with the local laws striving for Zero accidents through continuous coaching on safety behaviours

    • Execute Teams development program that will provide appropriate flexibility of team and assets. Focus on material availability, finished goods quality, and on time delivery through optimal resource allocation

    • Lead a continuous improvement/employee involvement culture through NCE approach. Drive for excellence and support operators and staff in their tasks

    • Ensure ongoing smooth operation of factory through employee and industrial relations

    • Stock taking, PO management - release / teco,MORC, Variances

    What will make you successful

    • Problem Solving Maturity to be at minimum White Belt or equivalent

    • Experience in change management

    • Successful in leading line improvement projects (e.g. Capex, PTC, Product improvements)

    • 3 years experience as in Production

    • Diploma/Degree/Btech in: Food Technology, Production management or Engineering or equivalent experience
