    Supervisor Lab

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct analytical tests on samples: during production as well as during packaging
    • Conduct Daily Quality Control checks: Final packed product
    • Ensure accuracy: Control sample, Methodology and Self-maintenance
    • Ensure safety and cleanliness:
    • Adhere to master cleaning schedule
    • Adhere to safe operating procedures
    • Assist in the Maintenance of the Quality Control Systems:
    • Assist in the functional activities of the quality control laboratory
    • Communicating the quality of daily milled and packed products to HOD and Production
    • Managing laboratory staff to ensure effective operation of the laboratory
    • Plan maintenance and servicing of laboratory equipment always ensure accuracy of equipment and results
    • Ensure that all test procedures and methods are properly understood, carried out and evaluated
    • Manage timeous collation of results and compilation of reports which will ensure actions taken are effective
    • Maintain general standard of housekeeping and safety
    • Review work instruction and report any changes required
    • Assisting the Management of Premier with FSSC 22000 through implementation, training, maintenance, verification and review thereof to ensure adherence to all standards and requirement
    • Assist the Manager with departmental functions such as assuming a second-in-charge role when required

    Audits/Verification:

    • Audits are conducted as required on the Lab Management System
    • Audit Non-conformances are identified, Registered and actioned
    • Review effectiveness of Corrective actions implemented

    Qualification Requirements

    • Matric
    • Qualified Food Technologist/ Degree in Food Science or Analytical Chemistry Degree
    • ISO 17025

    Experience Requirements

    • Min of 3 – 5 years’ experience in FMCG Laboratory
    • 2 Years’ experience in a Supervisory role
    • 2 Years’ experience in the milling industry
    • Computer literacy

    • Performance Management / Targets to be met
    • Pack all Premier Bakery bread from time to time
    • Adhering to the promotional plan set by the key accounts manager or the sales representative
    • Ensure that there is correct pricing and ticketing

    Qualification Requirements

    • Matric (Grade 12)

    Experience Requirements

    • 1-2 year's promotional experience (FMCG will be advantageous)

    Artisan Millwright

    Qualification Requirements

    • Matric
    • N3/N4 Qualification in Relevant field
    • Trade Test Certificate (Red Seal)

    Experience Requirements

    • Minimum - 5-7 Years in relevant trade – Electrician, Fitter, Millwright
    • Minimum – 5-7 Years experience on Wheat and Maize Milling Machines

    Key Outputs

    • To anticipate possible machine reliability problems, which could appear and take appropriate actions to ensure manufacturing process continuity
    • To facilitate and lead problem solving processes; provide inputs/suggestions to the maintenance team leader for continuous improvement
    • To record and analyse breakdown trends per machine using a maintenance system to motivate equipment improvement or purchases
    • To render support on ad hoc projects e.g., renovate and refurbish machines/installations and commission to optimize process flow
    • To ensure compliance with relevant Food Safety, Health Safety and GMP Requirements through the maintenance of process and document controls according to SOP’s
    • To provide on job coaching for Handyman and Apprentices as and when required in line with Premier’s Leadership promise
    • To supervise, train and coach Technical Operators regarding SOP’s and work instructions to ensure best operating practices
