    Sales Administrator (Fixed Term 4 Months)

    Responsibilities

    • Attend to sales orders and blanket agreements for allocated customers/segments
    • Responsible for the loading of new products on customer profiles
    • Assist with price change requests and associated approvals
    • Responsible for follow ups on sales orders and attending to any queries
    • Ensure relevant confirmations of all SO / PO with customers
    • Responsible for the updating of blanket agreements and planning according to orders
    • Updating MRP planning based on stakeholder feedback
    • Responsible for the drafting sales orders and the management thereof
    • Ensure relevant communication to all stakeholders with regards to sales orders, deliveries etc
    • Ensure price and customer data integrity management
    • Ensure that all sales orders are loaded to optimize efficiency and effectiveness of transport vehicles
    • Capturing of data on relevant portals and updating of internal documentation
    • Responsible for monthly price notifications to all stakeholders
    • Follow up on credit applications, credit increase requests and associated documentation
    • Responsible for creating all price quotations as requested
    • Ensure that all portal orders are regularly reviewed for relevant segments
    • Receiving and distributing of all related and essential documentation to all stakeholders

    Health and Safety

    • Participate in safety forums and attend relevant training/programmes
    • Report all safety incidents to the relevant people
    • Comply with safety policies and procedures
    • Wear protective clothing (where applicable) at all times

    Requirements

    Qualification and Experience

    • Grade 12 or equivalent
    • A relevant tertiary qualification would be advantageous
    • A minimum of two years relevant working experience recommended with specific reference to administration
    • Knowledge of SAP would be advantageous
    • Computer literacy on MS Office, with specific reference to Excel

    Engineering Planner

    Responsibilities

    •  Developing and managing maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and optimize resource use.
    •  Ensuring that the necessary tools, materials, and personnel are available for maintenance tasks.
    •  Implementing preventive maintenance strategies to reduce the likelihood of equipment failures and extend the lifespan of assets.
    •  Ensuring that maintenance practices comply with safety regulations and industry standards to protect workers and equipment.
    •  Analyzing maintenance data to identify trends and areas for improvement in processes and practices.
    •  Prioritize maintenance activities based on operational needs and equipment criticality.
    •  Work Order Management: Create, issue, and track work orders for maintenance tasks. Ensure that work orders are completed accurately and on time.
    • Allocate resources, including personnel, tools, and materials, for maintenance tasks.
    • Prepare reports on maintenance activities, including performance metrics and KPIs.
    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
    • Update maintenance management systems with relevant information.
    • Communicate with various stakeholders, including operations, engineering, and management, to align maintenance priorities with business goals.
    • Compile breakdown report and investigations.
    • Plan and communicate with contractors for scheduled maintenance.
    • Ensure all contractor safety files are in order and up to date.
    • Report daily maintenance activities and progress to all stakeholders and maintenance manager.
    • Assist maintenance manager with departmental health and safety compliance.
    • Must be prepared to work overtime and standby according to schedule.

    Health and Safety

    • Participate in safety forums created by SOILL for example safety meetings and safety talks
    •  Follow-up on any activities assigned through safety meetings / committees / representatives / management
    • Report all safety incidents to the relevant people
    • Attend safety education and refresher programmes
    • Comply with safety policies and procedures at SOILL
    •  Distribute safety information as and when required
    •  Always wear protective clothing (where applicable)

    Employee management and development

    • Ensure overall compliance with relevant procedures and policies
    • Ensure that all team members have clearly defined job profiles 
    • Regular goal review completed to assess achievement of results
    • Support, coaching and mentoring are continuously provided to ensure that objectives are met
    • Ensure that development plans are in place for each employee
    • Appropriate allocation of resources to meet operational demands
    • Ensure that events/activities taking place in the team are effectively communicated within the team
    • Ensure adequate succession planning to meet ongoing and anticipated business requirements

    Requirements

    • NQF Level 5 or Industrial Engineering Diploma would be an advantage
    • Code B license
    •  3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
    • Must be able to read technical/mechanical drawings
    •  Computer literate on intermediate level and able to use all Microsoft programs
    •  Plant maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment advantageous
    •  Experience in Conveying equipment, Gearboxes and drives systems, pumps advantageous

    Boilermaker

    Responsibilities

    • The construction, modification and maintenance of equipment, machinery and facilities according to specifications.
    • Being the team leader of certain projects to ensure optimal efficiency and productivity by performing and maintaining high quality workmanship.
    • Development and training to Artisan Assistants and General Assistants.
    • To supervise, motivate and time-manage of team reporting to them.
    •  Be part of the team maintaining plant during projects and plant Shutdowns.
    •  Due to the nature and structure of the projects team it will be expected from this position to get involved with other projects duties not related to his discipline.  It can therefore be expected of this position to do this work with the necessary supervision and assistance.
    • Actively promote safe working practices according to health and safety regulations.
    • Must be prepared to work overtime and standby according to schedule
