    Infrastructure Manager

    • KPMG is seeking a Manager for its Pan-African Infrastructure team to be based in South Africa. She/he will support the Africa Infrastructure leadership team with the delivery of infrastructure solutions across all stages of the infrastructure project lifecycle and with growth of the business across the African market.

    Duties and Accountabilities

    This role is geared for those with in-depth experience in infrastructure project management and/or transaction advisory from business case development and feasibility studies, through transaction procurement, financing and project delivery. She/he will assist the SMs and Ads in day-to-day engagement management on specific projects across:

    • Various stages of the infrastructure project lifecycle (strategy, development, procurement, financing, construction, operations and investment)
    • Various sub-sectors of infrastructure (transport, power, utilities, social infrastructure and real estate).
    • Various clients including public sector, state-owned-entities, development partners, project developers, equity investors, development finance institutions and other financiers, etc.
    • Provide management and guidance to senior associate and associate team members
    • Develop and present client materials including status reports, project reports and presentations
    • Monitor project risks, budgets, schedules, work quality, scope and client deliverables
    • Contribute to hands-on delivery of core analysis responsibilities which may include primary and secondary research, quantitative data collection and analysis, financial modeling, business analysis, and application of methodologies to achieve client objectives.

    Technical Skills

    Project strategy and development analysis in some, or all, of the following areas:

    • Infrastructure planning and strategy
    • Feasibility, business case and market analysis
    • Procurement options analysis
    • Project risk assessment
    • Project governance and project management frameworks
    • Commercial structuring of complex contracts
    • Contract management
    • Coordinating legal, financial and/or technical teams
    • Conducting feasibility studies by contributing specific skills associated with the individual
    • Procurement and process management
    • Bid evaluation
    • Project implementation advice through design and construction reviews
    • Project controls
    • Working experience in various infrastructure core sectors (power, transportation, utilities, social, telecom/digital, natural resources) and the stages of the infrastructure project lifecycle. Experience of achieving financial close on a transaction is preferred.
    • Experience with alterative contract types: EPC, PPP, etc
    • Experience in using project financial models
    • Experience in business development in some, or all, of the following areas:
    • Maintaining a pipeline of advisory project pursuits
    • Anticipating market trends and ability to articulate sector/country knowledge
    • Business development strategies for clients, sectors, countries, or regions with the objective of building a robust project pipeline of opportunities.
    • Experience in supervising, mentoring, coaching and managing staff

    Academic Qualifications and experience

    • Undergraduate bachelors degree: finance, accounting, business, economics, development finance, engineering or similar. Masters preferred by not required.
    • Professional qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA/CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), masters in finance or economics, MBA or similar relevant education will be an advantage.
    • 3+ years of relevant experience within a range of skills which could include project management, maintenance and engineering, management consulting, commercial banking, private equity, development finance institutions or multilaterals with tasks related to the infrastructure sector.

    Manager in Cyber Forensic and Response

    Job Purpose

    • Manage and maintain the cloud-based forensic and investigation infrastructure hosted on Microsoft Azure, ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient operation of digital forensics, data analytics, and evidence management platforms.

    Responsibilities

    • Administer and maintain all forensic and investigation systems hosted on Azure — including case management, data storage, analytics environments, and automation pipelines.
    • Design and manage Azure-based forensic environments, such as isolated investigation VMs, Azure Sentinel workspaces, and secure evidence vaults.
    • Support forensic and incident response teams with data ingestion, extraction, and queries from diverse sources (Azure logs, O365, endpoints, and third-party integrations).
    • Automate data collection, enrichment, and correlation across Azure services using Logic Apps, PowerShell, and Azure Functions.
    • Implement and enforce role-based access control (RBAC) and ensure compliance with evidence handling, retention, and privacy standards.
    • Knowledge of configurations relating to RAG, Agentic AI and document analyser, Azure AI etc
    • Monitor and optimize Azure resource performance, cost, and security posture for forensic workloads.
    • Coordinate with internal IT and security teams to maintain connectivity, patching, and resilience of forensic systems.
    • Evaluate and integrate new forensic and data management tools within the Azure ecosystem to enhance investigative capabilities.
    • Manage the Azure environment used by front end investigation teams

    Qualifications

    Education:

    • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.

    Certifications:

    Preferred:

    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500)
    • Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
    • GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE) or CHFI
    • Splunk / Kusto Query Language (KQL) proficiency

    Experience

    • 4–8 years in IT or security operations, with 3+ years managing Azure environments for security, data analytics, or forensic purposes.

    Skills

    • Expert in Azure services such as Sentinel, Log Analytics, Defender for Cloud, Blob Storage, Key Vault, Logic Apps, RAG, Document Analyser and Azure Automation.
    • Knowledge of Proficiency in KQL, PowerShell, and Python for data extraction and automation.
    • Understanding of forensic workflows, evidence integrity, and digital investigation processes.
    • Knowledge of data retention, encryption, and compliance frameworks

    Supervisor in Cyber Forensic and Response

    • Collect, preserve, and analyze digital evidence to determine root cause and scope of compromise.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform forensic imaging and evidence preservation.
    • Analyze disks, memory dumps, logs, and network captures.
    • Reconstruct attack timelines and identify indicators of compromise (IOCs).
    • Support law enforcement or legal teams with admissible evidence.
    • Oversee storage, access control, and security of digital evidence repositories.
    • Support investigators with data extractions, large-scale queries, and log analysis.
    • Automate ingestion, parsing, and correlation of diverse data sources (network, endpoint, cloud, and application).
    • Manage system integrations between forensic platforms, SOAR, and incident response tools.

    Qualifications and skills

    • Education: Degree in Digital Forensics, Cybersecurity, or IT.
    • Certifications: GCFA, CHFI, EnCE, or CCE or related ones
    • Experience: 3–7 years in digital forensics or law enforcement investigations.
    • Skills: EnCase, FTK, X-Ways, Volatility, Autopsy, log and packet analysis.
    • Strong command of forensic and data platforms (EnCase Enterprise, Magnet AXIOM, Nuix, Relativity, X-Ways, FTK)
    • Optional: relevant cloud forensic certifications, Azure/AWS SysOps, or Database Administrator certifications
