    Head of Marketing, English Africa

    The Opportunity

    • Join our dynamic team as a Head of Marketing  in the English Africa Cluster (EAC). As the Head of Marketing / Marketing Manager for the English Africa Cluster, you will lead the development and execution of strategic marketing initiatives across both OTC and Rx portfolios.
    • This role is pivotal in driving brand growth, market share, and customer engagement across diverse markets in the EAC region, ensuring alignment with global strategies and local market dynamics.

    Job responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement cluster-wide marketing strategies aligned with global and regional objectives.
    • Lead product launches and lifecycle management across multiple therapeutic areas.
    • Define and manage marketing budgets, ensuring optimal resource allocation and profitability.
    • Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats.
    • Analyze sales performance, market share, and customer insights to inform decision-making.
    • Collaborate with sales and cross-functional teams to develop integrated business plans.
    • Oversee a multi-product portfolio, ensuring optimal positioning, pricing, and promotional strategies.
    • Drive innovation and differentiation in marketing campaigns tailored to local market needs.
    • Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, and institutional stakeholders.
    • Represent the company in external engagements, conferences, and strategic partnerships.
    • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing marketing team across the cluster.
    • Builds a strong team by identifying, recruiting and retaining talent
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
    • Ensure compliance with corporate values, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.

    Experience:

    • A minimum of 5 years’ experience within a Senior marketing leader position within the pharmaceutical industry having managed a team is essential (5–10 years of experience in pharmaceutical marketing, including leadership roles.)
    • Experience in Cardiovascular/Diabetes, Antibiotic and/or related pharmaceutical therapeutic areas will be an advantage
    • Proven success in managing diverse product portfolios and launching new products
    • Strategic Thinking – Ability to align marketing plans with broader business goals and long-term vision.
    • Market Analysis Skills– Understanding market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform planning.
    • Forecasting & Budgeting Skills– Creating realistic sales forecasts, allocating resources efficiently, and managing budgets.
    • Cross-functional Collaboration – Working with sales, medical, regulatory, and finance teams to ensure cohesive execution.
    • Performance Monitoring – Setting KPIs, tracking progress, and adjusting plans based on results and market feedback.
    • Risk Management Ability– Anticipating challenges and developing contingency plans.
    • Strong understanding of the healthcare landscape, private and tender, across EAC markets.
    • Experience in digital marketing and omnichannel engagement is a plus.

    Education :

    • Tertiary qualification in Marketing Or Scientific OR  Related study is essential.

    Regional Sales Manager

    The opportunity

    • To develop, maintain and grow the business, and market share of the Division within the private/ State & Hospital environments; through effective management of the operational sales function, proactive development of new business opportunities, and development of the EPD Sales Team through objective setting, coaching, performance monitoring and creating new business ideas and sales techniques to drive the business, subsequently growing the EPD business in accordance to PLAN targets.

    Responsibilities:

    • Achieve Sales Targets: Meet and exceed sales targets and SFE KPIs.
    • Resource Allocation: Ensure maximum productivity through strategic human and financial resource allocation.
    • Budget Management: Monitor and control expenditure against allocated budgets.

    Education, Qualifications

    • Suitable tertiary education is essential e.g. BSc/ B Pharmacy; B Comm or related.

    Experience:

    • Education: Suitable tertiary education (e.g., BSc, B Pharmacy, B Comm, or related).
    • Experience: Medical or pharmaceutical sales experience is essential. Minimum 2-3 years of sales management experience leading a team of Medical Sales Representatives is advantageous.
    • Therapeutic Areas: Experience with multiple therapeutic areas is an advantage.
    • Sales Strategies: Proven experience in implementing sales strategies.
    • Sales Force Effectiveness: Understanding of sales force effectiveness activities and systems.
    • Computer Literacy: Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and sales data handling.
