    • Africa Technology CIB provides technology support to the organisation's corporate and investment banking sectors.  Activities are grouped into three areas, namely Markets, Corporate and Investment Banking. The Prime Services IT team is responsible for development, enhancement and maintenance of all Post Trade vendor and bespoke application suites that fall within the Markets business area.
    • Prime Service IT is at the point where it needs to expand on its resourcing due to a number of systems it currently support. Hiring would thus give Prime Service IT team the ability to contribute meaningfully within CIB and moreover and more value to Prime Service business.

    As a .Net Developer / Product Engineer will you be required to:

    • Translate, design, build bespoke applications given a set of requirements
    • Assist business during QA testing, resolving bugs and issues as their being discovered
    • Collaborate with IT/Business for any technical assistance required
    • Diagnose production issues and provide assistance to production support staff (2nd level support)
    • Participate in agile methodologies and practices as agreed within the team

    Job Description

    • The Treasury team within CTO RTF (Risk, Treasury & Finance) is looking for Specialist C# Developers. RTF provides IT expertise to our customers. We enhance and support the Group’s Regulatory Reporting framework providing tool sets for data, reporting and front-end portal capabilities to enhance Business Intelligence across the RTF businesses.  We provision unique solutions to meet business & regulatory challenges.
    • We are the technology partner supporting Credit Risk, Treasury, Finance, Regulatory Reporting, Data and Business Intelligence.
    • We handle the consumption of the Bank’s data for the calculation of risk metrics and making the outputs available to business and regulators.
    • Our task is the successful delivery of innovative solutions that enable business efficiency.

    Key critical requirements:

    • Min 5 years' C# experience
    • Ability to transition into Cloud and Devops
    • C# Integration is critical (using API wrappers etc) key focus on integration, automation and optimization within Treasury

    Advantageous:

    • Cloud experience – AWS or Azure (Cloud Principals)

    Specialist Legal Recoveries On/Off Balance

    Job Summary

    • Risk management through cost effective recovery of outstanding debt exposures by monitoring and engaging in the business rescue process instructing 3rd party professional service providers and engaging with internal customers in the collections, recoveries, credit sanctioning, business support and business rescue environments.

    Accountability: Managing the assigned legal portfolio

    •  Formulate the appropriate recovery strategy to recover as much as possible and to mitigate any additional impairment requirements
    •  Instruct panel attorney to institute legal action against all liable parties and management of legal process until the matter is resolved
    •  Initiate, entertain and approve any negotiations or settlements proposals within personal discretion and refer to mandate official if outside personal mandate.
    •  Provide ongoing instructions to attorney inclusive of evidence required by court such as factual evidence, reconcilations and documentation
    •  Draw and submition of claim and documentation required in liquidations/sequestrations and deceased estates
    •  In liquidation/sequestration ensure that the liquidator is protecting the Bank¡¦s interest with regards to our assets, whether it is a vehicle, immovable property orany other.
    •  Assess the risk position by analysing the overall security position to ensure the correct level of impairment is raised.
    •  Perform financial and non-financial analysis on the client that will support and underpin the recovery strategy to be implemented for a particular group or customer
    •  Produce relevant management information and statistics as required. This includes reports to the Watchlist Committee if required.
    •  Manage bad debt exposures by taking daily legal recovery decisions and reviewing information from various systems and taking loss decisions accordingly.
    •  Report all risk and loss events as a result of fraud or error
    •  Monitor progress on defended/opposed matters in consultation with Group Legal and submit Form B.
    •  Engage with Team Leaders and higher levels on a matter to matter basis regarding complex matters.
