Job Description

• The above vacancy exists at our Packaged Gas - Specialty Gas department, Kempton Park, reporting to the Quality Control Supervisor. Suitably qualified candidates who meet the requirements of this role are invited to apply.

Overview & Key Responsibilities

• The Quality Control Technician will be responsible for performing chemical analysis of pure products and mixtures in cylinders, trolleys and liquid cylinders.

Key areas of responsibility for this role would include, but are not limited to:

• Ensure continuity and consistency of analytical equipment functions at the Specialty Gas, CryoEase and
• Merchant Gas Laboratory at the Kempton Park Facility.
• Commission and optimise all laboratory equipment by conducting performance trails, measurement uncertainty determinations and modifications to existing analytical systems to ensure optimum service for routine Quality Control activities.
• Ensure best equipment performance and operational integrity.
• Adhere to Air Products’ safety standards and ISO 45001 requirements.
• Achieve departmental objectives and support personnel development.
• Perform Quality Control tasks and analysis at the Merchant and Vanderbijlpark Laboratory when required.
• Execute tasks according to Air Products’ Quality System procedures and work instructions.

Essential Requirements

• A National Diploma in Analytical Chemistry.
• Proven analytical chemistry capability.
• A minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in the gas industry.
• Good analytical chemistry understanding and ISO 9001, FSSC 22 000, ISO/IEC 17025 and GMP experience advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot effectively.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, along with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
• A valid unendorsed driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.

Overview & Key Responsibilities

• The Sales Engineer will be responsible for the growth in sales by bringing online profitable new business covering the full range of products in all related markets in accordance with pre-set targets on a monthly, as well as an annual basis. Maintains and services the company’s current customer base.

Key areas of responsibility for this role would include, but are not limited to:

• Growing company sales in line with agreed annual sales targets as well as growth within the allocated area;
• Responsible for account maintenance and customer satisfaction;
• Growing Air Products’ market presence through various marketing initiatives;
• Administrative duties related to reporting and document completion;
• Responsible for active personal and professional development within the sales environment.

Essential Requirements 

• A minimum of Matric with Maths and Science or equivalent;
• Recognised Certificate / Diploma / Degree in Sales & Marketing and /or Engineering sales background;
• Minimum 3 years of sales experience in Industrial, Technical, Medical or Gas industry;
• Must be computer-literate and proficient in the MS Office suite;
• Proven track record in negotiating at high levels and building strong customer relationships;
• Strong attention to detail and report writing skills;
• A Valid unendorsed driver's license and own reliable transport.

Job Description

• The above vacancy exists at our Technical – PG Engineering department, Kempton Park, reporting to the PG Maintenance Supervisor. Suitably qualified candidates who meet the requirements of this role are invited to apply for this vacancy.

Overview and Key Responsibilities

• The Technician will be responsible for performing required installation and maintenance activities on Reef operational sites and PG Depots effectively, efficiently and safely.

Key areas of responsibility for this role include but are not limited to:

• Performance of planned & unplanned maintenance activities as directed;
• Assisting with the performance of identified project activities as directed;
• Reporting on maintenance, project and safety activities performed;
• Assisting with the required safety and departmental systems;
• Compliance with required Safety systems and protocols.

​​​​​​​Essential Requirements

• A Matric certificate with Maths and Science;
• A completed NTC 2 - 4 qualification or equivalent;
• Must be a Red Seal Trade Tested Artisan (preferably a Fitter);
• Must have 3 - 5 years mechanical maintenance experience;
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills;
• Must be computer literate and proficient with MS Office Suite;
• A valid unendorsed Code EB driver’s licence;
• Must be willing to work overtime as and when required;
• Must be willing to be on standby on weekends and public holidays as and when required.
