    Service Center Supervisor

    We are looking for someone with great overview who work in a structured way and quality-consciously to provide our customers high-level services.
    It is important that you are very flexible, hands-on experience and ready to support the team in inspection and job execution when needed.
    Further, good communication skills in English, spoken and written, are essential, along with an understanding of Microsoft Office products. Driving license is required.
     

    Directly responsible for service centre job execution with safety in focus, KPIs and Installed base service reporting.


    Responsible for the overall repair and reconditioning business growth objectives by securing competent resources to fulfil customer commitments on timely delivery and quality.
    Indirectly responsible for the overall Regional Service objectives and growth targets.
    Validation of service reports prior to releasing it to sales or customer

    Responsibilities

    • Comply with AL Corporate Governance, HSE policy and ensure local legal compliance.
    • Lead and support the Service Centre team to deliver high quality service execution
    • Secure that the work is executed safely with utilization of correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for Alfa Laval employees as well as hired resources
    • Maintain working permit procedures in identified risk areas (de-bonding process, working in high, heavy lifting, balancing, etc.)
    • Daily planning of workshop activities to ensure optimized utilization of resources and timely delivery
    • Responsible to ensure technical file and job execution documentation are implemented & maintained.
    • Responsible for technical inspections of serviced equipment and generate reports thoroughly to sales.
    • Advice sales about possible repairs and commercial consequences.
    • Provide technical support during commercial discussion whenever needed.
    • Accountable for cost management, recovery of hours, utilization and operational result.
    • Drive ALPS process with the team (Alfa Laval continuous improvement program), 5S.
    • Coordinate with other service centers in the region and implement best practices.
    • Responsible to maintain ISO certification and compliance of the workshop.
    • Develop and motivate the team to maintain operational excellence.
    • Planning the training & development needs to maintain competence and prepare for future needs.
    • Support and lead the team in implementation of new technologies or products scope.
    • Implementing and monitoring of KPIs for the service center.
    • Promote the Alfa Laval culture and values in the workshop.
    • Responsible for the correct usage of IT systems and service tools.
    • To establish contracts & approved pricing with reputed service providers / vendors and use services from them.

    Candidate Profile And Qualifications

    • Experienced and hands-on Mechanical Engineer
    • Good level of safety awareness
    • Self-Starter and result oriented
    • Good understanding of operational issues
    • Team player
    • Flair for maintaining relationships and working across different cultures
    • Customer service oriented
    • Technical competence on High Speed separator, Decanter and Gasketed Plate Heat Exchanger
    • Knowledge and experience in Food and Energy Industries, Mining, Marine.
    • Good communication / presentation skills
    • Computer literate. Skilled in MS Office to establish reports
    • Basic finance skills
    • Fluent in written and spoken English

    Quality Control Inspector

    • Receipt inspection of incoming material and vendor fabricated components to verify compliance with purchase order requirements.
    • Review Material Test Reports
    • Material identification and marking.
    • Documentation of receipt inspection.
    • Fabrication In-process and Final Inspection
    • Material Verification.
    • Weld joint preparation and fit-up inspection.
    • Dimensional verifications.
    • Visual weld inspection.
    • Hardness testing.
    • PMI Testing (Positive Material Identification)
    • Coatings appearance and DFT inspection (paint and galvanizing)
    • Assembly inspection
    • Mechanical Testing (airflow, balancing, hydrostatic, etc.)
    • Nondestructive Testing (MT, PT, LT)
    • Final inspection of product prior to shipping

    Quality Assurance

    • Document and verify correction of nonconforming conditions.
    • Document inspection and testing activities in accordance with established procedures.
      Welding Program
    • Oversee / Witness PQR Testing
    • Oversee / Witness Welder Qualification Testing
    • Maintain Welder Continuity Log

    Education, Experience And Certification/Registration Desired

    • Associates degree in a technical field with a minimum of 2 years QC inspection experience in an
    • ASME manufacturing environment preferred; or
    • A minimum of 5 years QC inspection experience in an ASME manufacturing environment; or a comparable level or education and experience in a related technical field (subject to QA management review).
    • Formal training, experience, or certification in welding or weld inspection required. Current or previous certification in the following Nondestructive Testing methods: PT – Liquid Penetrant Testing; MT – Magnetic Particle Testing; LT – Leak Testing (Bubble Test)
