Diagnose all repairs that need to be done and ensure that the Department is well positioned in the terms of material, equipment and personnel to achieve outcome of Mechanic Engineering Maintenance Project.
Ability to Oversee and perform the function of a heavy plant mechanic.
To ensure spares are ordered on time and information recorded accordingly.
To ensure that staff personnel within the mechanic.
A bachelor's degree in Town and Regional Planning.
Post graduate qualification will be an added advantage.
Registered with a professional body South African Council for Planners (SACPLAN).
Must have five (5) years managerial experience in the planning field.
Ability to interpret complex spatial information and project data.
DUTIES
Manage Urban and Rural Planning, GIS, Environment and regulate building control in line with applicable legislation, municipal policies and provincial/ national directives.
Perform all functions with regard to all aspects of development and land use management in terms of applicable legislation in order to enable sustainable development .
Responsible for designing and managing the development as envisaged in the Municipal Spatial Development Framework and Integrated Development Plan.
Three (3) year National Diploma or B-Tech in Urban/Town and Regional Planning.
Registered with a professional body South African Council for Planners (SACPLAN)
Three (3) years of experience in land use management or spatial planning with at least 3 years at supervisory or junior management level.
Valid Driver's License.
DUTIES
Analyse building plans, rezoning applications, and site plans for compliance with the municipal, local, and national regulations.
Contribute to the creation and implementation of land use policies, comprehensive plans, and strategic infrastructure projects.
Support the planning team with project tracking, resource allocation, and budget management to meet urban development goals.
Coordinate with developers, investors, community stakeholders, and government department to facilitate public consultation and approvals.
Conduct research on demographics, infrastructure, and environmental factors using GIS to support planning decisions
Responsible for the intersection of strategic planning, policy formulation, and the regulation of land development, often aligning with the Spatial Planning and Land Use Management Act.
Review and process land use applications, including subdivision, rezoning, and township establishment.
Develop, implement, and monitor spatial plans, such as Spatial Development Frameworks (SDFs) and precinct plans.
Draft and implement spatial planning and land use management policies in accordance with national and provincial legislation (e.g SPLUMA)
Ensure compliance with land use legislation and environmental policies, and manage reporting on agrarian or spatial interventions.
Coordinate with municipal departments to align Spatial Planning and Land Use Management with the Integrated Development Plan (IDP).
Oversee projects, manage human resources, and manage financial resources within the section.
