    Programme Officer: Fellowship

    Purpose of Role

    • Support Candidate Fellows in their academic and personal leadership development by building one-on-one relationships with the Candidate Fellows, developing, refining, planning and delivering elements of the Fellowship programme, and building strategic relationships with academic institutions, supported by the programme team.

    Objectives of Role

    • Manage individual Candidate Fellow's academic scorecard and provide constructive guidance and Development plans. Provide feedback to Candidate Fellows on their overall progress.
    • Monitor Candidate Fellows academic progress
    • Ensure that each Candidate Fellow has a clear understanding of Self-Directed Learning and its benefits as part of the Fellowship Programme
    • Discuss the Candidate Fellows' strategy for achieving the goals and intentions of Ignitions Recommend proactive and remedial action on gaps in academic results
    • Continuous monitoring and evaluation of the psycho-social progress.
    • Identify psycho-social issues that may impact on Candidate Fellows academic performance and personal development
    • Provide academic and non-academic mentoring and coaching to individually and as a group for the duration of the programme
    • Refer Candidate Fellows to relevant university and external support resources to assist Candidate Fellows in their development
    • Review each Candidate Fellow's submissions and guide them towards self-leadership through focused goals and activities that lead to excellence
    • Assess and moderate application forms
    • Conduct interviews with short-listed applicants
    • Provide input into selection process refinements
    • Conduct school visits, assists with the university roadshow and attends Expos as requested by the Fellowship Selection Team
    • Participate in planning meetings for regional and national programme activities and events, e.g. Dialogue Sessions, Orientation, Jamboree, year specific events, directed or refined by management
    • Provide guidance and constructive feedback to Candidate Fellows on their assessment tasks and overall progress in the Programme
    • Gather Programme feedback from Candidate Fellows and other participants as appropriate and complete evaluations in accordance with policy and processes
    • Recommend independent specialists/external facilitators to deliver specified learning sessions when necessary
    • Make recommendations to senior management on Candidate Fellow's progress and Fellowship renewal
    • Collate and analyses relevant information and compiles annual reports
    • Report on progress experienced by Candidate Fellows in terms of their academic and personal development
    • Source, build and maintain relationship with subject matter experts in specific relevant fields
    • Maintain regular contact with key stakeholders
    • Develop and refines activities, materials and tools for the Personal Development/Leadership Programme and academic components of the Programme Curriculum
    • Conduct research and consults with key role players to make recommendations for further development of programme
    • Acts as a knowledge consultant to Candidate Fellows in Personal Leadership
    • Receive input and recommendations from the Curriculum Development Specialist and operationalises the Fellowship Curriculum

    Events and Logistics Officer

    Purpose of Role

    • The Events & Logistics Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the successful delivery of all Scholarship and Fellowship events across the organisation. This role is responsible for coordinating the full lifecycle of event planning and logistics, from sourcing venues and suppliers to managing travel arrangements, communications, contracts, and post-event reconciliations.
    • The purpose is to ensure that every event, whether large-scale or intimate, is executed smoothly, professionally, and in line with the organisation’s values of service excellence and operational integrity.

    Objectives of Role

    • The Events & Logistics Coordinator is responsible for end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of all organisational events and associated travel logistics. This role ensures seamless delivery of events through effective sourcing of venues, equipment, materials, and service providers; and coordinates all logistical requirements, including accommodation, transport, catering, contracts, stakeholder communications, and on-site hosting.
    • Key responsibilities include drafting detailed event and logistical plans, preparing cost estimates, supporting budget development, identifying and mitigating event-related risks, and ensuring compliance with procurement and financial procedures through accurate reconciliation of service provider invoices, travel claims, and credit card transactions.

    The role also involves:

    • Coordinating stakeholder communications and distributing invitations through tools like Outlook, Evites, and Google Forms.
    • Managing changing logistics and implementing approved changes swiftly.
    • Ensuring accurate documentation and reporting post-events, including debriefs, expense summaries, and lessons learned.
    • The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, multi-project environment, possess exceptional organisational and communication skills, and demonstrate the ability to manage multiple service providers while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail. The role is critical in supporting the organisation’s public presence, internal engagement, and operational excellence.
