    Scrum Master

    • We appreciate someone that is pragmatic and knows when to push for process improvement or let the team experiment and fail in a safe manner. Many of our teams have been doing Scrum or Kanban, some have even chosen parts of Agile processes that work for them, it is not one size fits all. The candidate should be able to engage with teams to either re-establish Scrum practises or assist them in Process design to achieve buy-in and help the team be effective.
    • The candidate will work with a high degree of autonomy and will need to engage not only with the team but also with stakeholders outside the team to drive continuous improvement.
    • You will not be alone, we currently have a team of Scrum Masters that you can co-facilitate, co-coach, pair on anything to help achieve a team’s goals.
    • We believe Scrum Masters can influence broader than one or two teams and we encourage implementation of improvement themes across the department

    Please note: This is a Cape Town based role and you will be required to be in office for a minimum of 3 days / week, with a Monday and Thursday as compulsory.  

    Responsibilities

    • Organise and help execute the Scrum framework: Scrum meetings (i.e. daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, planning sessions) and metrics (burndown charts, predictability metrics) 
    • Assist the product owner in prioritisation and scheduling of work, to meet agreed delivery time frames
    • Make sure that all the team members understand their roles and fulfil them to the best of their ability
    • Guide/coach/mentor the development team to take on the responsibilities of the process and the ownership of the product - lead team to a self-organised state
    • Identify and facilitate the resolution of identified impediments 
    • Helps the team in its use of Scrum and Agile practices by motivating the team and reminding the team of its goals and how they choose to meet them

    Experience

    • Understanding of SDLC
    • Experience in dealing with all levels of business essential
    • 3 – 5 years Scrum Master experience 
    • 2+ years’ IT industry experience essential

    • Tertiary qualification

    Experienced Operations Consultant

    • Operations consultants play a key role in upholding the operational quality that supports our retail investment offering.     Experience and competencies

    • A minimum of four years’ investment administration experience within the Unit Trust, LISP, Retirement and/or Employee Benefits industry.
    • Sound knowledge of FICA, FAIS, FATCA and POPIA
    • Experience in processing one or more of the below instructions:
    • New investment instructions and client onboarding
    • Switches 
    • Transfers (e.g. Section 14)
    • Withdrawal and/or claim instructions (divorce, death, retirement, resignation, etc.)
    • Estate Late accounts
    • A track record in accuracy, compliance and operational excellence

    • Strong organisational skills

    Maintenance Assistant | Facilities Management | Maintenance Team

    • We are seeking a reliable Maintenance Assistant to support the installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial and industrial plumbing systems across the facility. The role involves carrying out routine plumbing tasks, assisting with specialised systems, and working across disciplines to support the wider maintenance team as required.

    Responsibilities
    Key Responsibilities

    • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems (including Grey Water, Sea Water Cooling, Sewage, Ablution, Reticulation, Heating/Cooling, Desalination systems), fixtures, and equipment.
    • Perform basic plumbing tasks such as unblocking drains, replacing washers, repairing leaking taps, and installing minor fixtures.
    • Support HVAC Team in installing pipes, valves, fittings, and water supply lines.
    • Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems and report defects or potential issues.
    • Use hand and power tools safely and correctly.
    • Maintain cleanliness and order in work areas, workshops, and storage spaces.
    • Assist with the preparation of materials, tools, and equipment before and after tasks.
    • Follow all health and safety procedures, including PPE requirements.
    • Provide feedback on completed work and escalate issues when needed.
    • Perform other maintenance-related duties as required.

    Requirements
    Skills & Competencies

    • Basic knowledge of commercial and industrial plumbing systems and materials.
    • Ability to read and understand simple technical drawings and instructions.
    • Good problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.
    • Strong understanding of safe work practices.
    • Ability to use plumbing tools and equipment effectively.
    • Good communication and teamwork skills.
    • Good computer operating skills.
    • Physical fitness and ability to work in various conditions (confined spaces, heights, etc.)

    Education

    • Grade 12 / Matric required
    • Basic plumbing training or a plumbing short course (advantageous).
    • 2–5 years of experience in general maintenance or plumbing assistance.
    • Valid driver’s licence
    • Ability to work after hours or on standby when required.
