    Senior Specialist: SHE Systems

    Join us at our Kumba Headquarters as a Senior Specialist: SHE Systems where you will be responsible for the following:

    • Providing SHE business systems support for the development of standards and processes including the coordination of subject matter expertise and guidance on solution design and support implementation as well as business process design
    • Timely and accurately gathering compilation of internal Business Unit reports related to SHE
    • Collaboration with Safety, Health and Environmental peers for leading and supporting the implementation of SHE
    • Inputting the development of the SHE Management Systems’ policies and strategy to enable the Business Unit to be achieve world class performance
    • Developing, implement, maintain and integrated SHE management system
    • Evaluating, analyzing, plan and coordinate implementation of strategic and emerging SHE Support and Reporting issues and opportunities
    • Providing expert lead for peers at Operating Units on key issues related to the function as well as strategic SHE supports and reporting issues.
    • Responsible for the embedding of SHE business systems and business processes
    • Responsible jointly for functional budget (Opex and Capex) preparation and cost control with defined parameters in relation to the SHE business systems
    • Monitoring the performance of each Site and report on the performance of each Site and report on the effectiveness of the systems. Produce accurate data for use in reporting

    This role is in the Safety & Sustainable Development on a Band 6 and will be reporting to the Head of SHE
    Qualifications

    You will need to have the following:

    • Three-year Degree in Information Technology or B Tech in a Technical discipline related to SHE Qualification
    • Qualifications in Statistical methods would be advantages
    • Post Graduate qualification (MBA / MBL) will be an advantage
    • 5 -7 years of experience within the SHE environment preferably in a mining environment

    Senior Foreman Mechanical Surface

    Job Description

    • As a Senior Foreman Mechanical Surface, you will coordinate special projects and shutdowns within the conveyor belt area of responsibility as well as manage PM compliance and prioritise duties towards maintenance of equipment and services.

    Key responsibilities for this role:

    • Plan and coordinated daily, weekly, and monthly requirements and priorities with operational team (all planned and related work and shutdowns) on the concentrator conveyor belt section
    • Liaise and communicate effectively with other Foreman/ Supervisors/departments
    • Monitoring and over inspect plant and equipment, specifically conveyor belt installations, including condition monitoring
    • Control SHEQ and report regularly on costs, targets, actuals, objectives
    • Standby duties

    This role is in the Engineering department at a D1 level and reports into the Section Engineer.
    Qualifications

    • Boilermaker/Fitter Trade
    • Certified Competent 2.9.2
    • Grade 12/N3
    • Engineering Foreman Certificate as per Anglo – for internal employees

    Experience:

    • +2 years’ experience as a Foreman
    • 2 years’ Conveyor Belt experience – belt installation and maintenance including all idlers, pulleys and belts

    Additional requirements:

    • Valid driving license Code 08
    • Good command of the English language (spoken, written and reading)
    • Computer literate – MS Office full suite
    • Good analytical and decision-making skills
    • It is advantageous to be conversant with SAP and its uses within maintenance planning and budgeting

    Integrated Scheduler

    You will deliver the requirements for every approved work package to be completed at the scheduled time

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Developing integrated schedules with a view of a 6- week period (processing and maintenance) to safely, efficiently and cost effectively meet short term production objectives
    • Providing technical expertise to production teams to ensure effective optimisation of the operations scheduling processes and capabilities
    • Managing work management schedulers to deliver section business targets including quality and quantity of all related processing tasks
    • Meeting processing objectives and conform to Anglo processing standards, operational physical standards and asset management principles to ensure safe processing operations within legislative guidelines.
    • Contributing to continuous improvement and asset optimisation initiatives to enhance processing processes

    This role is in the Engineering Department at a Band 6 Level reporting to the Resident Engineer

    Qualifications

    • Trade Tests Certificate
    • Degree/ Diploma in Engineering or related field will be advantageous
    • Successfully Completed all Planned Maintenance training modules, or equivalent (SAP)

    To be successful, you will have the following experience:

    • At least 5 years operational experience in a Processing Operation with at least 3 years at a Planned Maintenance role
    • Computer Literate
    • Valid drivers incense

    HRD Officer TMM

    You will provide effective customer services, execution and delivery of on the job coaching to all learners.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Established working underground training environment conducive for skills development in compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act
    • Compliance in terms of MQA and QCTO requirements
    • Progressive reports on predetermined targets for mining
    • Appropriate budget control
    • Interaction with relevant stakeholders

    This role is in the HRD Department at a D1 Level reporting to the HRD Coordinator TMM

    Qualifications

    • Grade 12
    • NFQ 3 Rock Breakers/ Blasting Certificate
    • NQF 5 OD ETDP Higher Certificate
    • Assessor Certificate
    • Moderator Certificate

    To be successful, you will have the following experience:

    • 3 years mining experience of which 2 years as a Shift Supervisor or Senior HRD Practitioner in the mining industry
    • Conversant with Lesson and Training Material design
    • TMM experience
    • MS Office Package

    Job Description
    Your responsibilities include:

    • Attend and conduct Safety meeting and participate in Risk assessments
    • Allocate tasks to subordinates and attend to Breakdowns and emergencies as required
    • Ensure that material, spares and equipment are available as required
    • Ensure proper and adequate on the job training and coaching is provided to subordinates
    • Exercise judgment with regards to replacement of components
    • Records results of all legal examinations in the appropriate format
    • Completing job cards and description of work and spares used (PM’s)
    • Attending to Breakdowns and emergencies as required

    This role is in the Engineering Department at a C2 level reporting to the Engineering Foreman.

    Qualifications

    • Grade 10 or Technical Trade Specific N2
    • Diesel Mechanic Trade Certificate

    To be successful, you will have the following experience:

    • At least 2 years experience as a artisan in the mechanized underground mine
    • Experience on SANDVIK, LP equipment will be advantageous
    • Basic Computer Literate
    • Driver’s license code 08 with own transport
    • Working overtime and standby
    • If successful, you will be required to undergo a Medical Fitness Test
