    Projects Process Engineer

    KEY  RESPONSIBILITES :

    • Further develop and maintain the Bosch Projects EMB as a global-leading sugar process software tool;
    • Preparation, oversight and ultimate responsibility of PFDs, P&IDs and other process engineering deliverables required for project execution;
    • Contribute to Bosch Projects’ global competitiveness in the sugar sector by extending our sugar process design knowledge and experience as well as driving efficiency;
    • Collaborate with Bosch Projects Equipment and R&D to design, specify, sizing and develop industry leading process equipment;
    • Contribute to effective Client relationships and co-ordinate project execution within scope, time and cost requirements to the Client’s satisfaction;
    • Provide technical process oversight throughout the project life-cycle, from inception, through feasibility into construction and commissioning;
    • Expand Bosch’ process engineering service offering into KZN industrial applications
    • Own the preparation, development and delivery of papers at local and international sugar conferences.
    • Liaise with Bosch Projects’ regional offices in Brazil, Kenya and Booker Tate (UK) to drive efficiencies, ensure knowledge sharing, and leading global industry best-practice.
    • Effectively manage and maximise efforts of specialist associate consultants;

    KEY REQUIREMENTS:

    • Have a BSc. Eng. (Chem) / B.Eng. Chemical engineering qualification;
    • Be registered as a Professional Engineer with ECSA;
    • Have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the sugar or other similar industrial sectors;
    • Be recognized within the sugar sector as a proficient and knowledgeable sugar engineer;
    • Hold sound knowledge of the sugar production process and be able to produce, analyse and present a sound EMB;
    • Possess a detailed understanding of engineering activities and project engineering workflows required for consulting, engineering services, and EPCM contracts;
    • Possess a broad understanding of the other design engineering disciplines;
    • Be self-motivated, disciplined, ethical, confident, and comfortable with Clients;
    • Have experience in utilising specific process software tools to maximise productivity, efficiency and innovation;
    • Be able to lead a process engineering team to deliver exceptional results; and
    • Have a valid passport and be prepared to travel and work locally and internationally

    Projects Senior Structural Engineer

    KEY  RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Producing, maintaining and taking responsibility for structural engineering deliverables within a multi-disciplinary project environment.
    • Developing, maintaining, enhancing and oversight of structural engineering tools, calculations and software used in the course of the structural engineering activities of the Company.
    • Provide technical structural oversight throughout the project life-cycle, from inception, through feasibility into construction and commissioning.
    • Assist with coordinating and optimizing structural resources.
    • Ensure that all structural projects are undertaken in accordance with the Quality Management System.
    • Effectively interfacing with Clients, project managers, other discipline engineers, design draughts persons and other stakeholders throughout the project life-cycle.
    • Promote growth and advancement of junior staff by mentoring.

    THE IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD:

    • Have a BSc / BEng (Civil) Engineering degree;
    • Be registered as a Professional Engineer with ECSA;
    • Have a minimum of 15 years’ appropriate post qualification experience in structural engineering design, related to reinforced concrete and structural steelwork designs of multi-level buildings, industrial plants/structures and water retaining structures;
    • Possess a detailed understanding of engineering activities required for consulting engineering services, and EPCM contracts;
    • Have prior experience with the compilation of technical specifications and BOQ’s;
    • Possess a broad understanding of, and have interacted with other design engineering disciplines, i.e. Process, Civil, Mechanical, Instrumentation, and Electrical and have been involved in multi-disciplinary projects, leading the structural design aspects;
    • Have strong leadership and management skills in managing structural projects and teams;
    • Be self-motivated, disciplined, ethical, confident, and comfortable with Clients;
    • Have experience in utilising specific structural design software tools to maximise productivity, efficiency and innovation;
    • Be proficient in Prokon software; competent CAD and 3D modelling skills, comfortable working in a BIM environment and good MS Office knowledge with strong MS Excel skills;
    • Be able to lead a structural engineering team to deliver exceptional results;
    • Have a valid driver’s license, and
    • Have a valid passport and be willing to travel within and outside of SA borders.

    Civil Engineer – Water & Wastewater

     KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Managing entire projects and project teams from project inception to completion.
    • Managing project financial forecasts and reports using the company ERP system.
    • Producing, maintaining and taking responsibility for engineering deliverables within a multi-disciplinary project environment.
    • Perform engineering design functions efficiently in support of the project planning and/or design team.
    • Mentoring and motivating project teams and especially junior staff.
    • Developing and maintaining strong Client relationships.
    • Ensuring that all projects are undertaken in accordance with the company Quality Management System.
    • Effectively interfacing with Clients, project managers, other discipline engineers, design draughtspersons and other stakeholders throughout the project life-cycle.

    THE IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD:

    • Have a BSc Civil Engineering / BEng Civil Engineering qualification.
    • Be registered as a Professional Engineer with ECSA.
    • Have 8 – 12 years’ post qualification experience of which at least 5 years must have been spent independently implementing and managing projects from start to finish.
    • Have technical and design competence in the water and wastewater fields, with a good general knowledge of other engineering activities such as earthworks, roads, stormwater, health and safety and environmental legislation.
    • Possess a broad understanding of, and have interacted with other design engineering disciplines, i.e. Process, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation and have been involved in multi-disciplinary projects.
    • Have experience in engineering report writing.
    • Have prior experience with the compilation of technical specifications and BOQ’s
    • Have experience in contract administration and management of GCC (2015) contracts; NEC 3/NEC 4 will be an added advantage.
    • Have proven strong leadership and management skills, especially within an engineering consulting environment.
    • Be experienced in the use of software (i.e. hydraulic analysis, CAD, MS Projects, Word and Excel, etc.).
    • Be capable of functioning independently and as part of a project team.

    Graduate Mechanical Engineer

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Perform engineering design and draughting functions efficiently in support of the project planning and / or design team.
    • Ensuring that all projects are undertaken in accordance with the company Quality Management System.
    • Effectively interfacing with project managers, other discipline engineers, design draughtspersons and other stakeholders.

    THE IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD

    • Have a BSc Mechanical Engineering / BEng Mechanical Engineering qualification.
    • Have 3 – 6 years’ post qualification experience of which 2 years must have been spent designing and draughting in the 3D modelling BIM workflow environment using REVIT software.
    • Have a sound mechanical technical knowledge and design competence in the water and wastewater fields.
    • Have a good technical design understanding of the process, civil, structural and electrical/instrumentation disciplines and how these interfaces with the mechanical discipline on water and wastewater projects.
    • Have proven experience with the establishment of PFDs and P&IDs in the water and wastewater fields.
    • Have proficiency in engineering report writing and preparation of technical contract specifications and BOQ’s.
    • Have proven leadership ability especially within an engineering consulting environment.
    • Have a keen interest in the water and wastewater fields.
    • Have personal attributes aligned with the Bosch Way (Values and Culture)
    • Be experienced in the use of software (i.e. Revit MEP and Architectural, AutoCAD, MS Office, Excel, Word, etc.).
    • Be capable of functioning independently and as part of a project team.
    • Be prepared to travel within and outside RSA borders.
