    Procurement Manager (Johannesburg)

    Description

    • The Procurement Manager – Corporate Procurement is a strategic role responsible for managing sourcing, category management, supplier governance, and commercial negotiations across all corporate categories. The role supports the organisation in securing cost-effective, compliant, and high-quality goods and services, while enabling value creation, risk management, and supplier performance optimisation. Strong experience in financial services procurement and exposure to multi-category sourcing—including IT, Marketing, HR, Finance, Professional Services, Facilities, Corporate Operations, and Travel—is essential.

    Requirements
    Key Tasks & Responsibilities 

    Strategic Sourcing & Category Management

    • Develop and execute sourcing strategies across a broad range of corporate categories (IT, Marketing, HR, Finance, Consulting, Facilities, Operations, Travel, Corporate Services).
    • Conduct market and spend analysis, supplier risk assessments, and benchmarking to inform category plans.
    • Lead RFQ/RFP/tender processes aligned to business needs and compliance requirements.
    • Drive cost optimisation, value improvement, and supplier consolidation initiatives.

    Corporate Procurement Leadership

    • Manage procurement across multiple corporate domains, including software and digital tools, marketing agencies, HR & wellness partners, consulting services, office services, and facilities maintenance.
    • Support organisational transformation, sustainability initiatives, corporate projects, and operational improvements.
    • Work with business units on demand planning, budgeting, and aligning spend to strategic priorities.

     Supplier & Contract Management

    • Manage the full supplier lifecycle from onboarding to performance management.
    • Drive contract drafting, negotiation, renewal, and compliance with Legal & Compliance.
    • Monitor SLA/KPI performance, escalate risks, and implement corrective actions.
    • Maintain strong supplier relationships while ensuring accountability and value delivery.

     Governance, Compliance & B-BBEE Alignment

    • Ensure adherence to procurement policy, FSCA regulatory expectations, Risk, Compliance, Audit and InfoSec standards.
    • Drive B-BBEE procurement compliance and supplier transformation integration across sourcing activities.
    • Maintain complete procurement documentation, reporting, and audit-ready records.

    Stakeholder Management & Advisory

    • Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders at operational and executive levels.
    • Act as a commercial advisor on procurement best practices, pricing models, risk exposure, and supplier strategy.
    • Facilitate planning workshops, category reviews, and decision-making forums.

     Reporting, Analytics & Continuous Improvement

    • Prepare procurement dashboards, cost-saving reports, and supplier performance insights for senior management.
    • Analyse category spend trends and assess risks and strategic opportunities.
    • Support process improvement, system updates, policy enhancements, and procurement maturity development.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Commerce, Business Administration, or related field.
    • 7–10 years’ procurement experience with solid exposure across multiple corporate categories preferably within the financial services sector.
    • Demonstrated capability in negotiations, contract management, and supplier governance.
    • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple strategic and operational priorities in a dynamic environment.
    • CIPS, CPM, or related professional certification.
    • Experience with SAP, or similar procurement/ERP systems.
    • Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
    • Experience with B-BBEE procurement management.
    • Exposure to compliance, governance, audit, or risk frameworks.

    Procurement Consultant (Johannesburg)

    Description

    • The Procurement Consultant will be responsible for supporting both Motor and Non-Motor claims service provider categories. Key responsibilities include delivering data analytics and reports, managing service level agreements (SLAs) and KPIs with suppliers, and maintaining the contract register. The role also involves creating and managing SLAs, developing sourcing strategies aligned to business needs, managing strategic supplier relationships, and leading sourcing initiatives and negotiations as required.

    Requirements
    Key Tasks & Accountabilities

    Administration

    • Undertaking standard accounts tasks, resolving customer queries, providing information and processing/reconciling data.
    • Upload all pricing files onto electronic buying system
    • Improve efficiency.

    Performance Management

    • Driving outputs on specific projects, working to deliver added value. 

    Customer Focus

    • Manage customer relationships.

    Strategy

    • Shape the sourcing strategy for MBR, towing and Salvage. Align to customer needs, manage the initiative pipeline.
    • Lead sourcing deals as required, including stakeholder and project management, deal architecture, negotiation, contract development.

    Procurement

    • Own key supplier relationships relevant to the customer if applicable, including issue resolution, driving supplier performance and direction, supporting the supplier governance process.

    Qualification & Experience

    • Matric certificate or equivalent
    • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
    • Knowledge of procurement and supply chain management principles – including sourcing strategies, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
    • Knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools – with the ability to interpret procurement data and translate it into actionable insights.
    • Proven experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, ideally within financial services, insurance, or a regulated industry.
    • Strong data analysis skills, with proficiency in Excel, SQL, or other analytical tools; experience with procurement analytics platforms preferred.
    • Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and supplier relationship management skills.
    • Knowledge of procurement governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks
    • Strong communication and presentation abilities, with the confidence to influence at senior levels.
    • Professional procurement certifications (e.g., CIPS) advantageous.
