Main Purpose of the Role:

To bring insightful guidance to our clients that shapes how they leverage relevant and emerging technology to help them and to achieve that vision. We expect individuals to engage with a multi-skilled ecosystem spanning Technology, Strategy, Data Science, Analysis and Design and Delivery Management professionals. We partner with our clients and work collaboratively to achieve benefits and outcomes that are beyond the reach of ordinary people.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A tertiary degree with honours that has given you an opportunity to grow your problem solving skills within a technology context
• Examples: BBusSci, BCom, BSc Eng, BEng or BSc.

Experience:

• 4-8 years consulting experience
• 4-8 years technology experience
• A track record successfully of shaping and leading technology change in businesses

Job Objectives:

• Architect and design solutions to meet current and future business needs
• Help clients innovate and create new digital business models
• Define roadmaps and approaches for delivering technology and transformation
• Build real and meaningful relationships with technology leaders in our clients
• Work with our clients to create innovative solutions to business problems
• Persuade and Influence other leaders to make good decisions
• Drive the execution of key initiatives, through approach and knowledge, to support projects delivery and bring technology strategy to life
• Profile the BSG brand to attract talent and build further client opportunities
• Coach and mentor other consultants to grow skills and drive effective delivery

Skills and Attributes:

• Affinity and aptitude for technology and technical solutions
• Experience in either IT Strategy, Enterprise Architecture, Solution Design and/or technical delivery
• Ability to structure, solve problems and communicate solutions
• Ability to collaborate with both BSG and client team members
• Data gathering and analysis
• Ability to construct delivery approached and lead teams through knowledge
• Conducting and Facilitate workshops and sessions
• Exposure to emerging technology and technology trends shaping business
• Skilled in IT practices and solution design with certification in standards such as COBIT, ITIL and/or TOGAF
• Exposure to design thinking, lean start-up and agile practices
• Natural leadership and the ability to easily establish trust-based relationships,
• Skilled in gaining valuable insights through collaboration and communication
• Enjoys challenging work and has the proven ability to adapt manage change

Main Purpose of the Role:

To be accountable for end to end Delivery Management, from concept to benefits realisation, by leading multi-skilled BSG teams of varying sizes, through a collaborative and delivery focused approach. BSG teams, that span the capabilities of Strategy, Data Science, Technology, and Analysis & Design.

Deliver strategic change, through the outcomes of complex Project Portfolios and Programmes, that are insightful and pragmatic within both our clients Customer/Business interface, and Core Operating Platforms. Change that leverages international benchmarks, fused together with the reality of the local context our clients businesses operate within. So that, in partnership with our clients' delivery teams, we collectively deliver the benefits and outcomes that are beyond the reach of ordinary people.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Relevant Tertiary Degree: e.g. BBusSci, Bcom Information Systems/Informatics (Honours), or BSc Eng, BEng
• Certifications: e.g. MSP, PRINCE2, PMBOK and /or Agile related training (e.g. SCRUM or equivalent experience)

Experience:

• Minimum of 5+ years business or technology management consulting
• In addition, 3+ years of dedicated Project Portfolio & Programme Management
• Delivery of Transform initiatives
• Delivery of Grow initiatives
• Mutli-channel digital technologies (incl. cloud based)
• Complex core operating platform technologies
• Leadership of multi-disciplined/skilled delivery teams
• Executive level stakeholder management

Job Objectives:

• Custodian of the WHY (drive the business case) in complex programmes or project portfolios, spanning multiple capabilities and/or disciplines
• Deliver results, taking initiative to get the job done as per the business case, together with the required management of change within complex stakeholder ecosystems
• Apply critical thinking and problem-solving abilities (from a customer-centric, fact-based perspective), to guide both multi-skilled delivery teams and client stakeholders, in achieving value driven results and intended benefits
• Build key and meaningful client relationships as well as ensuring the effective delivery of appropriate communications to all stakeholders
• Quality assurance and delivery oversight to ensure successful execution of the teams efforts, and fit for purpose adoption of the outputs
• Drive both client demand and support the relationship sales process
• Delivery and reputational risk management
• Increase the depth of knowledge within the delivery team, and guide solutioning
• Coach and mentor intermediate consultants to grow skills and drive effective delivery
• Career facilitation of BSG team members in support of their growth and development
• Profile BSG at community events in support of building the BSG brand to attract talent and build a further pipeline of client opportunities

Skills and Abilities: 

• Business case and benefits management
• Advanced programme, project portfolio planning and management
• Various planning techniques and principles (incl. scope and effort estimation)
• Customer insights & ethnographic research principles 
• Stakeholder management and effective communication (at all levels)
• Applying appropriate project governance (MSP, Prince2, PMBOK) 
• Product/System development methodologies (Agile, Lean, SDLC, SCRUM)
• Processes, information & technology modelling methods
• Problem solving/innovation and critical thinking 
• Workshop facilitation (all stakeholders)
• Business writing skills
