•  Responsible (strategically and operationally) for Information Privacy and compliance to POPIA and PAIA across the Business and Third Parties.  You will be the responsible point of call for the Regulator. 
• The Privacy Information Officer will direct the development, implementation, co-ordination and oversight of policies and procedures. Such policies and procedures shall be designed to minimise the risk of employees, senior executives, customer’s personal information and any other information which the business is the custodian of, from harm, loss and/or compromise as a result of dishonest, criminal and/or inappropriate acts. 
• This position aims to establish overall leadership responsibility and accountability for privacy strategies and initiatives.

KEY DELIVERABLES: 

• Develop privacy strategy and governance across the business
• Establish Privacy Way of Work and integrate privacy function within the business 
• Apply and interpret information privacy legislation, standards and best practices 
• Develop information privacy policies and ensure that it is reviewed on an annual basis 
• Monitor compliance controls during implementation 
• Create process for monitoring organizational practices to identify new processes or material changes to existing processes to ensure the implementation of Privacy by Design principles
• Create internal privacy and information security committees 
• Notify the Regulator and data subjects of any privacy breach for remediation purposes 
• Track new compliance requirements, expectations, and best practices and communicate accordingly 
•  Provide input to Information Security and Third Party contracts Risks 
•  Be the subject matter expert with regards to Information Privacy 
• Provide advisory and legal input into all decisions relating to the POPI and PAIA. 
• Work with Regulator to conduct investigations, if need be apply for any exemptions with Regulator 
• Design and Implement Privacy Training Procedures 
• Establish privacy breach process 
• Ensure compliance with Privacy legislation within the business unit
• Provide comprehensive reports to EXCO / Chief Information Privacy Officer on the organisation's compliance with the Act 
• Accountable for records classification and management (PI/SPI Data) 
• Implement, monitor and measure the effectiveness of the Information Privacy practices in line with the Information Privacy policies, standards, frameworks and strategies. 
• Apply and interpret information privacy legislation, standards and best practices. 
• Establish Privacy Way of Work and integrate privacy function within the business
• Develop, communicate, implement and enforce information privacy and privacy related policies and ensure that it is reviewed on an annual basis. 
• Conduct Privacy impact assessment against other international practices (GDPR, cloud computing).

The purpose of this position is to provide end-to-end business analysis services to the company’s different departments in order to identify business problems and needs, and to determine solutions and enable improvement in organisational processes.

Detailed description

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

• Take responsibility for driving business analysis initiatives, from initiation to implementation, on projects of low/medium risk with a cycle of up to 12 months.
• Facilitate workshops independently and consult with business owners and stakeholders in respect of problem definition and the identification of business requirements/needs.
• Review business processes and procedures, analyse business needs and associated data, identify and assesses possible solutions, and define the associated requirements.
• Elaborate the scope and feasibility of solutions, and develop the supporting business case.
• Manage change requirements and supporting specifications.
• Investigate problems and propose solutions by interacting with users, developers and other stakeholders.
• Develop manuals, plans and present training courses in support of implementation.
• Stay abreast of changes to analytical tools and methodologies, and also identify opportunities to improve and standardise work processes and apply these in the course of own work.

Job requirements 

• To be considered for this position, candidates must have:
• Honours’ degree in Information Technology ](Preffered), 
• Must be based in South Africa
• Relevant Business Analysis certificate
• Five to eight years’ experience within a business analysis environment.
