    Warehouse Specialist

    Job Summary:

    • Responsible for the efficient management of stock within the seed warehouse, including accurate receiving and dispatch of goods using SAP PR2. Ensures all warehouse activities are conducted in a safe, organized, and compliant manner, with a strong focus on safety, accuracy, documentation, and quality control.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Receiving of Stock:

    • Accurately receive incoming stock and verify quantities.
    • Inspect the quality of received goods and report any discrepancies or damages.
    • Ensure proper documentation and recording of received stock in SAP.

    Dispatching of Stock:

    • Prepare and dispatch orders accurately and on time.
    • Use SAP to manage and track inventory levels and order statuses.
    • Coordinate with logistics partners to ensure timely delivery of goods.

    Stock Management:

    • Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock takes.
    • See to it that the correct materials are discarded.
    • Organize and store stock in an orderly manner to optimize space and accessibility.
    • Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as necessary to prevent shortages.
    • Be part of the stock take team that performs the annual stock take at all warehouses.
    • Managing quality control by creating ISL’s and shipments for samples sent to the laboratory.
    • Assist with dealer returns both at dealers’ physical warehouses and on the SAP system.

    Administrative responsibilities

    • Write, revise & perform internal audits on quality procedures.
    • Provide training to all workers on site as per instructions when necessary.
    • Create shopping carts for purchase orders on eSpree system.
    • Maintain WEBCYCLE to ensure accurate and timely payments to vendors.
    • Maintain expense claims on Concur system.
    • Maintain attendance records and overtime for all personnel on Replicon system.

    Safety Management:

    • Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment according to Corteva’s EH&S standards.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards or violations.
    • Train staff on proper safety procedures and the use of equipment.

    Qualifications:

    • National senior certificate.
    • Any certification in management would be advantageous.

    Requirements:

    • Proven experience in a seed warehouse management position.
    • Proficiency in SAP PR2 and Microsoft Office suite including Power Apps.
    • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Must be written and verbally fluent in Afrikaans and English.
    • Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
    • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment.
    • Should not have medical allergies due to dust and pollen presence in a seed warehouse.

    SPRC Producibility Scientist Africa – Data Science

    Your Challenge:

    • As Seed Production Research and Characterization Producibility Scientist – Data Science – Africa, you will identify, assess, and develop new scientific concepts and/or technologies to provide solutions that improve producibility and reduce variability in Corteva Seed Production.

    Key Stakeholders and Interactions:

    • Manage scientific, technical and data projects, coordinate with other professionals and support personnel within Production, Commercial and Seed Product Development to accomplish producibility objectives.

    • Master’s or Doctor’s degree in Agronomy, Agricultural research, or Plant Breeding.
    • 10+ years’ experience in agricultural field research
    • Good understanding of hybrid seed production

    • Excellent communication – oral, written, under diverse circumstances and audiences
    • Results driven and capacity to influence within a matrixed organization and across functions
    • Demonstrated statistical and data skills, attention to detail, results orientation
