    Personal Assistant

    Job Advert Summary    

    • The purpose of the position is to provide high-level administrative, organisational, and logistical support to the Director to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the office. This role acts as a trusted gatekeeper and liaison, managing communication, coordinating key activities, and enabling the Director to focus on strategic priorities that support operations and business performance.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Grade 12 (Matric) essential.
    • A relevant Diploma/Certificate in Office Administration, Business Administration, or Secretarial Studies.
    • 5 – 7 years’ experience as a Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant, or Administrative Coordinator.
    • Experience supporting senior leadership
    • Experience managing schedules, projects, and communication in a fast-paced operational setting.
    • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel when necessary.
    • Flexibility to work outside normal hours.
    • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • Familiarity with digital tools, and ERP platforms beneficial.
    • Strong organisational and planning skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion.
    • Ability to work independently, multitask, and meet deadlines.

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Organise and maintain electronic and paper filing systems.
    • Manage office supplies, equipment, and general office administration.
    • Coordinate travel arrangements, accommodation bookings, and itineraries.
    • Assist with tracking deadlines, follow-ups, and action items related to projects, stakeholder engagements, and operational activities.
    • Support the Director in managing project documentation, progress updates, and reporting.
    • Act as a primary point of contact between the Director and internal teams, clients, suppliers, etc.
    • Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
    • Support relationship management with clients, cooperatives, industry bodies, and government stakeholders.
    • Process purchase orders, invoices, and expense claims.
    • Assist with budget tracking and financial administration where required.
    • Support coordination of operational visits, site inspections, industry events, and field activities.
    • Prepare and distribute operational updates or communication as needed.
    • Maintain awareness of seasonal cycles, operations, and industry requirements to improve scheduling and planning.

    General Worker

    Job Advert Summary    

    • The purpose of this position is to perform general warehouse duties to support the efficient operation in the Freezer logistics environment. The role ensures the accurate handling, loading, and offloading of goods in line with operational instructions, while maintaining strict adherence to safety, food safety, and housekeeping standards. The incumbent is responsible for keeping warehouse and cold storage areas clean and compliant, using required protective equipment, and ensuring products are handled correctly and safely. The position requires physical capability, reliability, and the ability to work shifts in a cold storage environment to support smooth and efficient warehouse operations.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Matric / Grade 12
    • Good physical health, strength, and stamina
    • Ability to work in cold storage / low temperature environments.
    • Willingness to work shifts, including night shift and overtime.
    • Good communication skills (verbal and written in English)
    • Basic mathematical skills
    • Reliable, responsible, and hard-working with sober habits
    • Team player with attention to detail and accuracy
    • Ability to operate pallet jacks (advantageous)
    • Warehouse experience preferred but not essential (training provided)
    • Own transport
    • Clear criminal record
    • Must pass a practical assessment (including lifting and carrying in a cold environment)

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Perform general warehouse duties in line with company standards and Health & Safety requirements.
    • Maintain good housekeeping and cleanliness of the warehouse, offices, ablution facilities, canteen, and external areas.
    • Carry out specific cleaning tasks when required (e.g., freezer areas, ice removal, deep cleaning with PPE)
    • Load, offload, and stack products according to instructions from the Shift Manager/Supervisor.
    • Ensure correct products and quantities are handled and loaded.
    • Report damaged goods or discrepancies immediately.
    • Maintain cleanliness in loading and receiving areas at all times.
    • Comply with all Food Safety, Health & Safety, and warehouse procedures.
    • Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
    • Complete the required induction training and follow operational guidelines.
    • Perform additional reasonable duties as instructed by management.
