Main Duties/Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with staff from marketing, manufacturing, graphics, and shipping departments to optimize package design.

• Oversees the design of the finished product packaging, emphasizing marketability and cost efficiency.
• Test the packaging systems and components for new and existing products.
• Uses computer-assisted design (CAD) software to develop point-of-sale displays for products and packaging.
• Researches and introduces prototype packaging using materials such as folding cartons, plastics, and corrugated shipping containers.
• Drafts specifications for new packing materials that will adequately protect finished products. To manage and implement cost reduction/quality improvement projects.
• To ensure products comply to standard requirements and Safety. Analysis Data and Preparing Reports.
• Performs other duties as required

Required Skills and Abilities

• Proficient with computer-assisted design (CAD) software. Knowledge of packaging material and design.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Technological knowledge.
• Complex problem-solving skills and Mathematics and physicals skills. Innovative thinking.

Education and Experience:

• Mechanical Engineering or related field required. Two years of experience in packaging design preferred.
• Materials Engineering would be advantageous.

 Physical Requirement

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift at least 30kg at once.

• Ordering of ARV’s, and all medicines
• Screening of all referrals from HR to Doctor
• Accurate record keeping

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• General Nursing/Midwife with a minimum of 5 years’ experience
• Primary Health short course
• Pharmacology. Valid Dispensing licence.
• Audio and Spiro and updated Audio
• People skills
• Communication skills both English and IsiZulu

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The Sheet Metal Worker (SMW) will be responsible for new development around Metal steel parts and  other various part maybe required, this requires understanding of steel and formability, with the use of   tools and machinery (i.e., Sport welding machines and grinders). The SMW will be required to develop   and solve steel related problems working closely with R&D design Engineers and Room Tool Specialists.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Work closely with the Design Engineers for Development and building of prototypes and samples.
• To Measure, cut, and weld pieces together according to specifications, blueprints, or directions.
• To Perform assigned work on assembly lines/Production line such as punching holes for screws or modification when requested.
• Handle and coordinate ISIR for new parts and existing parts.
• Operate various computerized and non-computerized tools that precisely cut, bend or straighten the metal sheets.
• Assist R&D Engineers with running trials on new and existing products.
• Assist R&D Engineers with Benchmarking and teardown projects.
• Formulating new concepts on metal steel parts for Cooking Products.
• Play role in implementing cost reduction/quality improvement projects.
• Performs other duties as required by Department Manager.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Steel work, such as welding, forming and rolling.
• Fit and Turning will be advantageous.
• Basic Maintenance skills (Facilities or Machinery Maintenance).
• Select types of sheet metal according to building or design plans
• Measure and mark dimensions and reference lines on metal sheets
• Welding different sheets of metal together
• Polishing metal areas like rough surfaces or the seams and joints between two sheets of metals
• Reading and applying work specifications

Education and Experience:

• Grade 12 or High School Diploma.
• N2 or N3 will be advantageous.
• Two years of experience in Steel Work.
• Two years of experience in any maintenance field.

Physical Requirement:

• Working with heavy tools and Ability to lift heavy materials and tools.
