Primary Health Sister - Ladysmith at Defy Appliances

We are currently on  a search for a Primary Health Sister to join our dynamic team. The role will be responsible for promoting Health and Safety systems in the organization. To provide the best health care to the workforce. To identify hazards, assess risks to health and put appropriate health controls in place and to provide advice and treat, on general health, accident prevention and occupational health to managers and employees.

CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS

• Provide health care services and treat minor ailments to employees at the workplace.
• Provide health and education to all employees
• Consult at both sites site 180 and site 360
• Record keeping of medicines dispensed
• Chronic Management of TB, HIV, Hypertension and Diabetes.
• Wellness training
• Responsible for the physical environment and equipment of both clinics.
• Provide information to HR Manager for monthly statistics
• Ordering of ARV’s, and all medicines
• Screening of all referrals from HR to Doctor
• Accurate record keeping

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• General Nursing/Midwife with a minimum of 5 years’ experience
• Primary Health short course
• Pharmacology. Valid Dispensing licence.
• Audio and Spiro and updated Audio
• People skills
• Communication skills both English and IsiZulu
