    Reporting Manager: Africa

    Key Responsibilities

    FP&A: 

    • Develop, implement, and manage financial models to forecast business performance.
    • Analyse variances between actual and budgeted results, providing insights and recommendations.

    Budgeting & Forecasting: 

    • Lead the annual budgeting process for the Africa business ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
    •  Collaborate with operational teams to gather inputs and ensure accuracy in budget submissions.

    Reporting: 

    • Prepare and present financial reports and dashboards to senior management, the Africa executive team and various stakeholders, highlighting KPIs.
    • Provide ad‑hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and operational improvements.

    Strategy and Innovation: 

    • Support strategic projects aimed at enhancing business efficiency through innovative ideas.
    • Evaluate potential investments and cost‑saving initiatives.

    Team Management: 

    • Oversee performance management for the FP&A team.
    • Review and analyse work performed by the OTC, PTP and RTR towers including Accenture and the Accounting Hub.
    • Oversee the indirect Function budget and variances.
    • Assist the team with internal/external audit, balance sheet reviews (regional & global), treasury requirements (Banking, Supplier financing, equity requirement, etc.), and tax and statutory compliance.
    • Responsible for Finance system changes and projects.

    WMS Data Analyst

    Key Tasks

    • Design and maintain Power BI dashboards and data models for inbound, outbound, replenishment, inventory control, cycle counting, and labour performance. 
    • Develop KPI definitions, calculation logic, and data lineage for a single source of truth across sites. 
    • Perform root-cause analysis on short/mis-picks, wave delays, congestion, and queue bottlenecks; recommend process changes. 
    • Extract and transform data from Manhattan WMOS / Manhattan Active WMS (including order streaming, allocation, replenishment, carbonisation, slotting, RF flows). 
    • Implement reliable ELT/ETL from WMS and adjacent systems (TOMS/TMS/Other sources) into the data warehouse/lake with robust error handling and reconciliation. 
    • Define and monitor data quality rules (completeness, validity, consistency); maintain a data dictionary and steward reference/master data. 
    • Partner with Operations, Site Leads, Solutions Design, Engineering, and Finance to prioritize analytics use cases and land insights into SOPs. 
    • Support UAT, go-live, and hyper care for analytics components; align with ITIL incident/problem/change processes. 
    • Coach super users; drive adoption and ensure role-based access controls and compliance (e.g., POPIA). 
    • Adhere to company Information Security policies, POPIA, and role-based access controls. 
    • Ensure KPI and data lineage documentation is complete and audit ready.

    Measurement Criteria / KPIs

    • Pick accuracy ≥ 99.8%; inventory accuracy ≥ 99.9%. 
    • Order cycle time reduced by ≥ 10% at targeted sites. 
    • Data quality score ≥ 98% on critical WMS data elements. 
    • Standard dashboards deployed at 100% of target sites with ≥ 85% monthly active usage. 
    • BAU data load success rate ≥ 99.5%; P1 incident TRT ≤ 4 hours.

    Qualifications & Experience

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 
    • Proficiency in SQL (Oracle preferred), Power BI (DAX, M), and dimensional data modelling. 
    • Certifications in Lean/Six Sigma (Yellow/Green Belt) and ITIL Foundation.

    Experience:

    • 4–6+ years of warehouse/WMS analytics experience, with ≥3 years hands-on experience in Manhattan WMS (WMOS or Active). 
    • Experience with Manhattan SCI, Labor Management (LMS), DOM, Slotting, or Yard modules. 
    • Experience with Azure (ADF, Synapse/SQL, Databricks), Python for analytics, and Git/GitFlow. 
    • Strong understanding of DC processes, including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, inventory control, and RF workflows. 
    • Experience with waving strategies, picking methods (cluster, batch, zone), replenishment, and cartonisation. 
    • Skilled in building incremental data pipelines (CDC/timestamped loads), orchestration, and error handling. 
    • Knowledge of data governance, KPI auditability, and role-based security (RLS) in Power BI.

    Payroll Administrator

    Key Tasks

    • Create new employee profiles on Payspace.
    • Update employee details (salary changes, allowances, deductions, and banking details) according to the payroll schedule.
    • Process terminations, suspensions, and maternity leave accurately.
    • Ensure leave balances and payouts are correctly reflected in payroll.
    • Capture overtime imported from Smart Time and manually upload overtime sheets into the payroll system.
    • Apply increases and benefits for bargaining unit employees in line with the Main Collective Agreement.
    • Calculate and deduct statutory contributions (PAYE, UIF, SDL).
    • Generate payroll reports for management and finance, including the Comp Cost File.
    • Issue payslips accurately and on time.
    • Generate and upload bank files for salary payments.
    • Respond to payroll queries promptly and professionally.
    • Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure proper filing of all documentation.
    • Maintain effective communication with all benefit providers.
    • Reconcile and process payments to medical aids, provident funds, unions, funeral schemes, and other benefit providers.
    • Assist with internal and external audits.
    • Provide payslips and tax certificates (IRP5) as required.
    • Prepare, distribute, and file Certificates of Service, Income Statements (Salary Schedules), and UI19 forms for terminated employees.
    • Implement fraud prevention measures and maintain strict confidentiality.
    • Ensure adherence to labour laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
    • Distribute IRP5 certificates upon request.

    Measurement Criteria / KPIs

    • Achieve 100% error free payroll processing for each payroll cycle.
    • Complete all payroll actions within agreed timelines and deadlines.
    • Maintain zero non compliance findings during audits.
    • Process all third party payments accurately and within required timeframes.
    • Ensure all exit documentation is completed immediately after payroll for the period has been finalised.
    • Resolve payroll queries within 48 hours, dependent on receipt of information from branches and approval to process EFTs.

    Qualifications & Experience

    Education:

    • Matric.
    • Diploma/Certificate in Payroll Administration.

    Experience:

    • Strong knowledge of National Bargaining Councils. 
    • Proficient in BCEA, PAYE, UIF Acts, and related legislation. 
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a salaries or payroll environment. 
    • Ability to work effectively in a physically demanding environment. 
    • Computer literate, with proficiency in MS Office. 
    • Ability to use own initiative and work independently.
