    Technical Innovations Specialist

    About the role:

    Overview

    • The role is responsible for Supply Chain Liquid development and packaging (innovation and renovation) within Supply Chain/Production function in Diageo South Africa
    • This role is the link between marketing Innovation and Supply/Production functions and would lead in the piloting of new products in this regard.
    • Collaborate and partner with the supply sources, 3rd party, co-packers and materials suppliers in driving the innovations agenda

    Purpose of Role

    Junior Manager Payroll and Reward

    Job Description :

    Role Overview

    • Contributing to the delivery of the payroll for Africa Payrolls for approx. 3500+ employees; collating updates and liaising with 3rd party outsource provider Deloitte. The payroll team operate out of locations Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Seychelles, Mozambique, Cameroon, and recently in South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana and Southern Europe(Italy, France, Greece, Portugal, Dubai, Lebanon, Spain,  are part of the Global HR Operations function.  
    • The team works within an uncompromising monthly time frame, providing a consistently reliable and accurate service within a dynamic environment from both ongoing legislative and Company changes.
    • For South Africa specifically supporting the market with reward Admin activities that cannot not be managed out of South Africa location.

    Market Complexity

    • Liaising with employees across the business and multiple countries and supporting them with accurate information
    • Partnering with the outsourced payroll provider for all the above payrolls. Complexity involves answering tax queries, addressing maternity and other leave of absence questions, calculating advances, collating overtime, and following monthly checklists and calendars to ensure all data is processed accurately and within agreed timeframes. All tasks are completed in a compliant manner following our GHRO Payroll controls.
    • A high degree of technical knowledge is required for multi-country payrolls.
    • BBBEE Contact person – Data provider, verification, and document preparation for audits.

    Purpose of Role

    • To provide a professional and high-quality payroll and reward administration service that ensures Deloitte can pay our employees accurately and on time. A high level of accuracy is required, and the individual must be a subject matter expert on all payrolls to answer technical queries from employees.
    • The role demands working in a compliant manner, ensuring all checklists, calendars, variance reporting, KPIs, and journals are completed accurately and on time to meet our CARM controls.
    • Provide the payroll provider with data changes in the agreed format and by the specified date on the payroll calendar. Ensuring high data quality and conducting correct validations is imperative.

    Asset Care Team Leader

    About the role

    • Work at the tier 1 & 2 to deliver Asset Care functional expertise across the area/site and lead the shift Asset Care Technicians and support asset care support team to resolve complex equipment problems

    • Minimum N6 or Equivalent trade test  
    • Minimum of 5 years in an FMCG environment , Preferably bottling  

    Experience :

    • At least 5 years supervisory experience in an operations environment  
    • Proficient in use of standard business tools MS Office, SAP and Diageo specific systems

    Purpose Of the Role

    • To physically Blend and prepare bulk product in the relevant format for supply to the relevant Packaging business partner.

    Role Responsibilities

    • Supply of bulk liquid on time full at the required quality standard 
    • Apply the correct Process and Formulations as described on the relevant SOP’s.
    • Maintain and conduct the cleaning and housekeeping (5S) processes of the facility, plants, and equipment internal and / or external. 
    • Maintain all ingredients and spirit transfer records and documentation as per the SOP’s. 
    • Prepare for start-up of process steps by ensuring availability of equipment, process aids and ingredients. 
    • Submit samples for quality approval and conduct the relevant adjustments and ensure all the quality parameters are within specification before filtration start-up.  
    • This role involves facilitation and interaction with staff from Quality, Bottling, Training, Engineering, Warehouse, Manex, and SHE departments
    • All testing and measuring parameters are recorded and deviations reported. 
    • Report any faulty or non-optimal functioning plant (CIRC Cards), 
    • Loading and offloading of bulk tankers and containers performed as per standard operating procedure.
