    Major Module Specialist

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Ability to monitor commercial aspects of leases;
    • Induction and Redelivery planning;
    • Shop visit commercial planning and oversight;
    • Reserve allocations and exposures;
    • Oversight of reporting’s;
    • Fleet major module change planning;
    • Ensure compliance to contractual obligations and airworthiness requirements;
    • Keeping aware of developing ADs and SBs relating to major module;
    • Collaborating with colleagues across Asset Management, Engineering, OEM, service providers and other support functions;
    • Assist in the Assessment of contractual agreements requirements and wording.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Matric and suitable diploma;
    • 5 yrs. experience in technical administration;
    • Technical background in major modules, understanding of ADs, SBs, LLP, BTB, FFP, procurement
    • Experience and knowledge of SACAA/FAA/EASA regulations as they impact technical and operational aspects of aviation;
    • Computer proficiency and sound knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook);
    • Sound understanding of aviation business;
    • Strong technical background in shop visit management;
    • Strong Planning ability;
    • Ability to use and interpret contracts;
    • Able to multitask in a fast-paced, highly stressed environment, be deadline-driven and have the ability to both give and receive direction;
    • Strong written and verbal skills;
    • Negotiation skills;
    • Excellent Customer service skills;
    • Ability to work with senior industry people.

    Systems Specialist - Kempton Park

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Responsible for the accurate interpretation and conveyance of information that is fed between AIMS Management and Development Teams and FlySafair’s AIMS Users and Executives;
    • Actively participate in the implementation phase of projects (e.g., implementation of AIMS, integration of AIMS with other systems such as Reservation, MR0, Flight Planning, Crew Payroll etc.);
    • Coordinate any related/ensuing processes and procedures;
    • Where applicable, introduce new business processes related to the enhanced use of AIMS within all departments;
    • Routinely review and enhance Standard Operating Procedures(SOP's) related to the use of AIMS or create new when applicable;
    • Ensure the available functionality and utilisation of AIMS is methodically re-evaluated;
    • Carry out a review of all current working practices to identify areas of efficiency and inefficiency which could be enhanced; through greater utilisation of the available AIMS functionality;
    • Evaluate, manage and test AIMS related modifications and enhancements;
    • Consult with the AIMS Support Team to provide relevant Support;
    • Setup new User Accounts and access rights for new staff;
    • Provide some basic AIMS training to the newcomers;
    • Review AIMS Updates and Bulletins and prepare, maintain and distribute AIMS related documentation for the Business User Group
    • Participate in the implementation training process from all phases up to the go-live date;
    • Comprehensively assess the Needs for Training and implement a consolidated and credible method of carrying out routine training for all employees;
    • Responsible for any training related to AIMS;
    • Establish an effective method of communication (internal & external);
    • Provide Senior Management with statistical reporting when/where applicable;
    • Maintain an understanding of all required Software/Hardware products together with their maintenance requirements;
    • Participate and assist Auditors in conducting periodic internal audits in order to ensure that the 'User’ knowledge base is current and observing the applicable 'SOPs' for the use of AIMS;
    • Participate in Workshop and Conference events scheduled by AIMS.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Grade 12;
    • Aviation experience is essential;
    • Demonstrated experience in Training will be advantageous;
    • Previous experience using AIMS will be an advantage;
    • Computer proficiency and sound knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
