    Senior Electrical CAD Draughtsperson

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Prepare detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit, or similar)
    • Develop and update electrical panel layouts, wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams, and cable schedules
    • Interpret and incorporate engineering specifications, design standards, and project requirements into drawings
    • Modify and revise drawings based on feedback from client, engineers and project teams
    • Ensure drawings comply with relevant codes, standards, and company procedures
    • Maintain drawing registers, revisions, and document control systems
    • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery
    • Assist in creating bill of materials (BOM) and technical documentation
    • Perform site measurements or support installations when required (optional, depending on role)
    • Experience with Substation, Powerlines, PV, BESS systems and electrical reticulation projects

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field
    • 5-7 years’ experience as an electrical draughtsperson or CAD technician (preferred)

    Senior Bulk Material Handling Site Supervisor

    Key Responsibilities

    • Health & Safety: Provide active and visible support to the HSE team in enforcing project HSE requirements, Sasol standards, permit-to-work requirements and safe construction practices.
    • Contractor Management: Supervise and coordinate Mechanical and BMH contractors to ensure compliance with contract requirements, approved drawings, specifications, quality standards and construction schedules.
    • Mechanical Construction Supervision: Monitor and supervise the installation of conveyors, transfer towers, transfer chutes, bunker interfaces, steel structures, platework, bins, hoppers and associated mechanical equipment.
    • Equipment Installation: Supervise the installation and alignment of conveyors, pulleys, idlers, drives, take-up units, gearboxes, motors, belt cleaners and ancillary equipment.
    • Materials Handling Systems: Ensure all bulk materials handling systems are installed in accordance with approved design requirements and OEM recommendations.
    • Interface Management: Coordinate construction activities between Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical and Control & Instrumentation contractors.
    • Quality Management: Support the Quality Manager in implementing quality control processes, inspections and compliance with approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
    • Progress Monitoring: Support the Project Planner and Construction Manager with progress measurements, productivity assessments and schedule monitoring.
    • Reporting: Prepare daily, weekly and monthly construction progress reports and provide updates to the Construction Manager and Project Management Team.
    • Commercial Support: Assist with quantity verification, progress measurements and contractor payment assessments.
    • Document Management: Assist the Document Controller with site-generated documentation, redline mark-ups, quality records, inspection records and handover dossiers.
    • Stakeholder Liaison: Maintain proactive engagement with Sasol representatives, contractors, OEMs, suppliers and internal project stakeholders.
    • Risk Management: Identify and communicate construction risks, safety concerns, quality issues and potential schedule impacts.
    • Commissioning Support: Support pre-commissioning, dry commissioning, load commissioning, performance testing and final handover activities.

    Job Requirements:

    Qualifications

    • National Diploma, BTech, BSc or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
    • Trade Qualification as Fitter, Millwright or Mechanical Artisan will be advantageous.

    Experience

    • Minimum 10 years' experience in Mechanical or Bulk Material Handling construction supervision.
    • Minimum 5 years' experience on mining, bulk materials handling, conveyor systems, mineral processing plants or heavy industrial projects.
    • Proven experience supervising conveyor installations and associated materials handling infrastructure.
    • Experience working within operating mining or industrial facilities will be advantageous.
    • Experience working under EPCM project execution models will be advantageous.

    EC&I Site Supervisor

    Key Responsibilities

    • Health & Safety: Provide active and visible support to the HSE team in enforcing project HSE requirements, Client standards, permit-to-work requirements and safe construction practices.
    • Contractor Management: Supervise and coordinate Electrical and Control & Instrumentation contractors to ensure compliance with contract requirements, approved drawings, specifications, quality standards and construction schedules.
    • Electrical Construction Supervision: Monitor and supervise the installation of HV and LV infrastructure, switchgear, MCCs, transformers, substations, distribution boards, lighting systems, earthing systems and associated electrical infrastructure.
    • Instrumentation Construction Supervision: Monitor and supervise the installation, calibration, testing and commissioning of field instrumentation, analysers, transmitters, control valves and associated control systems.
    • Cable Installation Management: Supervise cable routing, cable tray installations, cable pulling, cable terminations, testing and energisation activities.
    • Quality Management: Support the Quality Manager in implementing quality control processes, conducting inspections and ensuring compliance with approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
    • Interface Management: Coordinate EC&I construction activities with Civil, Structural, Mechanical and Bulk Material Handling contractors.
    • Progress Monitoring: Support the Project Planner and Construction Manager with progress measurement, productivity assessments and schedule monitoring.
    • Reporting: Prepare daily, weekly and monthly construction reports and provide progress updates to the Construction Manager and Project Management Team.
    • Commercial Support: Assist the Construction Manager and Commercial Team with quantity verification, progress measurements and contractor payment assessments.
    • Document Management: Assist the Document Controller with site-generated project documentation, test certificates, redline drawings, commissioning records and quality dossiers.
    • Stakeholder Liaison: Maintain proactive engagement with Client representatives, contractors, OEMs, suppliers and internal project stakeholders.
    • Risk Management: Identify and proactively communicate construction risks, schedule risks, quality concerns and potential scope deviations.
    • Commissioning Support: Support pre-commissioning, loop checking, functional testing, energisation activities, integrated commissioning and final handover.

    • The EC&I Supervisor will form part of the site construction management team and will be responsible for overseeing contractor performance, monitoring compliance with approved designs and specifications, ensuring adherence to project quality and safety requirements, and supporting the successful delivery of the project.
    • The role will require close interaction with Client Mining representatives, contractors, OEMs, engineering disciplines and the GIBB project team to ensure the project is executed safely, efficiently and in accordance with project objectives.
    • Experience on conveyor systems, MCC installations, PLC controls, weighbridges, field instrumentation and bulk materials handling facilities will be highly advantageous.

    Civils Supervisor

    Key Responsibilities

    • Environmental: Guide and support the contractors to ensure compliance with the project EMPr’s
    • Health & Safety: Provide active and demonstrable support to the HSE Officers to enforce the HSE Plan on site
    • Contractor management on civil works: Ensure BOP contractors comply with its construction contract
    • Document Management: Assist the Document Controller with site-generated project documentation
    • Planning:  Support project Planner and Contract Manager Surveyor with progress measurements
    • Reporting: Support internal team with reporting and preparation of external reporting to the Client
    • Quality: Support the Quality Manager during the quality process
    • Eskom Self-Build Works: Attend monthly Eskom meeting for Self-Build Works coordination and progress
    • Commercial: Assist Construction Site Manager and Commercial team with supporting document compilation for Project milestone payment claims
    • Liaising: Proactive interaction with internal and external stakeholders during the construction of all Civil Works

    Qualifications

    • Tertiary qualification in an Engineering or Construction field (BSc, BTech or equivalent as a minimum).

    • Minimum 10 years' experience as a Civil Construction Supervisor, Civil Site Engineer or similar role.
    • Minimum 5 years' experience on mining, industrial, bulk materials handling, infrastructure or heavy civil construction projects.
    • Experience working within operating mining, petrochemical or industrial facilities will be advantageous.
    • Experience working under EPCM project execution models will be advantageous.
