    Den Blanken Machine Operator

    Job Purpose

    As a Den Blanken Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating the Den Blanken Machine. Responsible to produce product conforming to the required specification. You are also responsible for operating within the GSK safety standard whilst producing safe quality product for the customer and consumers. You are expected to perform and achieve individual set production target, whilst also support the team in delivering the team target for the Grand Pa wrappers packing area.

    Essential Job Responsibilities:

    • Operates Den Blanken machine to achieve production targets against the production schedule including weight adjustments, changing of wrapper paper and typewriter rolls
    • Performs minor adjustments to the Den Blanken machines e.g., set roll tension, clean pinchers, lubricate where necessary and set eye mark where applicable
    • Strips machine and re-assemble during wet cleans
    • Operates shrink wrapper and packs product into shippers when required
    • Alerts setter or fitter to correct any machine problems timeously
    • Fills powder into machine when required
    • Processes product as per specified procedures and complete documentation as required
    • Performs daily balance checks as per SOP
    • Carries out in-process fill mass checks and completes documentation accordingly
    • Complies with EHS SOP’s
    • Complies with regulations pertaining to dress code and safety equipment
    • Participates in process improvement initiatives and projects
    • Supports new ways of working as implemented through GPS
    • Completes regular ZAP’s & ZDP’s and ensures workstation is 5S compliant
    • Carries out other general and process-specific duties required by line management or relevant SOP’s

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Grade 12 or equivalent
    • Possess technical / mechanical aptitude (Potential)

    Production Maintenance Lead

    Job Purpose

    As a Production Maintenance Lead, you will be responsible for maintaining the reliability of equipment and to be compliant with Engineering standards, Quality standards and all EHS standards that pertains to the safe operation of equipment.

    Essential Job Responsibilities:

    • Allocate jobs daily based on priorities and skills of individuals to ensure equipment is always available for production
    • For all un-planned downtimes, ensure a detailed root cause investigation is conducted and job cards are update as necessary
    • Ensure analysis of un-planned downtime is carried out so that maintenance can be more focused to target specific areas
    • Use the Maintenance KPIs (% planned work, maintenance schedule adherence, availability, maintenance costs and % breakdown work) to ensure all planned maintenance is carried out and unplanned breakdowns are reduced
    • Ensure Planned maintenance resources are allocated, and job cards are completed correctly and returned to Planner for recording on CMMS
    • Lead and support structured problem solving. e.g. RCA, DMAIC
    • Identify and review on a routine basis the critical equipment list
    • Provide input to the workshop stores so that key spares are maintained for all equipment on site
    • Ensure adequate measure are followed for the filing & release of all spares on site. Ensure correct financial processes are followed
    • Authorize requisitions of all parts and materials from the Engineering Store
    • Ensure training of all staff in engineering is carried out (including Quality and EHS requirements)
    • Assist subordinates with technical problems
    • Carry out disciplinary hearings and take actions as required. Counsel staff as required
    • Provide input to Projects Co-coordinator about new equipment requirements
    • Oversee installation and commissioning by providing internal resources to project teams

    Basic Qualifications:

    • N6 with Trade Test in Fitting and Turning, Diploma or BTech in Mechanical Engineering with GCC
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience within an Engineering department of an FMCG/ Pharmaceutical manufacturing site
    • Experience leading a team of skilled production artisans
    • Basic understanding of Electrical Trouble shooting

    Demand Manager and S&OP Lead

    In this role you will…

    • Lead the SA Demand Forecasting and S&OP processes across a 24-month horizon in line with Regional Standards. The output is to provide an accurate volume and value demand plan, based on Statistical base demand
    • Assist in building and leading the demand forecast in coordination with Commercial; challenge their inputs based on historical trends and underlying assumptions at a total and customer level
    • Work with Sales & Marketing teams regarding promotional calendar and new product launch pipeline to ensure that commercial plans are fully integrated into the forecasts
    • Align the short-term and medium forecasts based on inputs from Sales and Marketing teams regarding the customer/distributor activation of key commercial initiatives
    • Identify root causes of forecast accuracy issues and correct as required. Also manage and coordinate relevant Supply Chain KPIs that impact the Commercial organization.
    • Investigate and hold accountable account, promotion, SKU performance monthly and manage with stakeholders
    • Liaise with central supply chain and commercial category organizations concerning NPI forecasts to ensure full alignment with CMOs, and GSK sites through participation in the extended PMR Innovation process. Any NPI risks are flagged and managed through the PMR process.
    • Work effectively with the central teams in Supply Planning, External Supply, Procurement, Finance, IT, QA to ensure aligned S&OP discussions and decision-making
    • Collecting and capturing of data in the different forecast tools for analysis, as well as deliver new forecasting tools (as the business evolves into SAP, using PowerBI, Sales analysis tools, etc.)
    • Ensure data integrity in all forecasting and S&Op files & systems, as well as full alignment with the Finance teams regarding both the forecasting and S&OP outputs
    • Manage Forecast queries & requests
    • Manage all direct reports to ensure that business-deliverables are met to the required standards

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Experience in Supply Chain operations in an FMCH /Rx environment. 
    • Ability to work off own initiative and comfortable with delegated responsibility
    • Supporting Commercial ambition to drive better margin

    Dental Detailing Representative

    Job Purpose

    As a Dental Detailing Representative, you will be responsible for ensuring that World Class education and training is provided to appropriate HCP’s and experts, delivering key clinical messages so that the GSK brands are the ones they most recommend, endorse and sell within the Dental Practice influencing sphere. You will be required to build sustainable relationships with targeted Healthcare Professionals and their practice staff.

    • To ensure that comprehensive call planning is implemented for each call

    • Complete all trackers for Samples, POS, etc. on a weekly and monthly basis
    • Manage individual marketing budget for area per annum
    • To develop territory business plan to accomplish objectives.
    • To make professional/educational presentations to practice groups, professional bodies and any meeting as directed, CME’s, CPD Meetings, etc.
    • Drive all company objectives identified within the overall Expert strategy.
    • Dental Detailing Representatives may be required to attend meetings, conferences and training courses that may entail overnight stays or evening work, incl. weekends.
    • Territory Management and Coverage may entail overnight stay.
    • Undertake any other duties commensurate with grade as required.
    • Ensure that all My Learnings and SOP training is completed timeously.
    • Agreed pass averages are achieved for product/detailing assessments
    • Identify and forge relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and Influencers within the Healthcare Profession
