    About the Role: As the Senior Manager Safety, you will:

    • Lead the development and deployment of consistent safety management systems and tools across Gold Fields, ensuring alignment with best practices and operational needs.
    • Support the Vice President Safety in driving the successful execution of the safety improvement plan through collaborative leadership and strategic oversight.
    • Collaborate with teams across the group to integrate safety standards into all operational activities.
    • Establish a unified induction and onboarding process for all employees and business partners.
    • Assist with the design and implementation of a comprehensive system for managing the safety performance of business partners.
    • Lead change management initiatives addressing technical, cultural, and social aspects within the company.
    • Standardise incident reporting and learning processes, ensuring effective action management and assurance.
    • Consolidate safety reporting into a single platform, enhancing predictive safety analytics.
    • Deliver programs to enhance safety culture, focusing on leadership, supervision, and operational excellence.
    • Develop and manage talent within the safety discipline, ensuring the team has the necessary skills and knowledge.

    About you:

    • Relevant qualifications in safety.
    • Extensive industry experience, with international exposure being highly regarded.
    • Recent experience in safety management within the resources sector.
    • Proven track record in collaborating with multifunctional management teams.
    • Experience in developing and executing strategic plans and leading change initiatives.

    Lead Specialist Safety Systems

    Your Role:

    As the Lead Specialist Safety Systems, you will develop and implement best-in-class safety management practices, ensuring consistent core components across all assets. Continuously review and refine systems to empower asset-level ownership and drive sustainable safety excellence.

    • Standardise Safety Management Systems across all assets,
    • Provide subject matter support on Safety management aspects to operational and functional teams
    • Equip leaders with the tools and processes to take full ownership of safety at site level, and drive process compliance
    • Support the development and maintenance of Critical risk controls to drive risk reduction
    • Develop onboarding & induction materials to build safety capacity,

    Your Role:

    • Support the delivery and implementation of safety programmes to drive safety improvement and embed a safety culture
    • Implement a standard Visible Felt Leadership (VFL) process across the company, embedding it into leadership routines with integrated quality assurance,
    • Continuously monitor VFL implementation and outcomes, providing coaching and mentoring as needed,
    • Collaborate with the Lead Specialist Safety Insight to integrate VFL data into safety dashboards, enhancing decision-making for leaders,
    • Refine and develop leading safety indicators to proactively identify risks and drive cultural change,
    • Maintain and enhance the Courageous Safety Leadership program to ensure alignment with our safety improvement plans,
    • Develop safety materials for supervisory development programs, strengthening frontline leadership in safety,
    • Implement talent management strategies to build the capability of safety professionals across the business,
    • Foster collaboration across safety functions, driving knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement, and,
    • Support sites in implementing targeted safety interventions as needed.

    What You Bring:

    • Relevant qualifications in safety management,
    • Extensive industry experience (international exposure highly regarded),
    • Recent safety management experience in the resources sector,
    • Strong track record of working with multifunctional teams, and,
    • Ability to develop and execute short-term plans that support strategy.
