Icebolethu Group is currently in search of a Procurement Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for procuring goods and services in compliance with Group Policies and Procedures within the Group Finance Department a Division of Icebolethu Group.

Responsibilities

• Manage vetting and evaluation of suppliers.
• Communicate policies and procedures to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Source quotations as per approved company policies and procedures.
• Negotiate prices and discounts with service providers.
• Negotiate, monitor and co-ordinate Service Level Agreements.
• Manage the procurement system for goods and services according to the approved specification.
• Monitor the stock demand and conduct periodic stock counts.
• Review purchase orders for accuracy and completeness of the commitment register.
• Receive and verify goods against the purchase order.
• Resolve end-user departments and supplier queries regarding order status.
• Collect supplier B-BBEE information.

The following minimum requirements should be met in order to be considered:

• National Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain management.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in procurement in a corporate environmentHonesty and integrity.

Job Functions

• To oversee the processing and approval of all claims
• To ensure that the validity of claims is assessed and confirmed, also claims procedure is handled efficiently, accurately.

Responsibilities include

• Claims unity Strategy
• Collaborate with the core business admin manager in setting up performance accountability systems and claims operations balance score card in consultation with all stakeholders
• Claims Operations strategy
• Claims Operational Excellence
• Growth and sustainable Plan
• Strategic Risk and Audit Register

Qualifications required for the position

• Grade 12
• NQF Level 7 Qualification Business administration/ Related field
• 3 years of experience as an insurance claim adjuster, or claims supervisor one of which was a leadership position.
• 2 years in a management / or supervisory role
• Clear ITC
• Clear criminal record
• Own reliable transport and cell phone
• RE – 5 Qualification will be an advantage
