    Field Sales Specialist - Mpumalanga Lowveld

    Trade areas:

    • Mbombela, Whiteriver, Hazyview, Barberton etc. 
    • We need H U N T E R S who will actively source and find new sales opportunities, build a sales pipeline and most importantly, close deals.  If you enjoy a fast paced environment and love a challenge, then keep reading on...

    In addition to the above, you will:

    • Prospect and canvass for new customers in targeted areas and targeted industries
    • Post-sale call and follow ups, logging all activity and demos with clients         
    • Promotional or new product upsell/cross sell/service calls
    • Research new sales leads, plan country trips and execute plans to acquire new customers
    • Ensure all set company Gross Profit, Device sales and Demo targets are achieved on a monthly & quarterly basis
    • Complete feedback loops as required which includes Swarm and demo feedback and HubSpot usage and deal pipeline management
    • Provide proactive feedback regarding suggested changes or improvements to sales or service procedures that could improve the business                     
    • Sign-up merchants and assist them with FICA documentation required
    • Complimentary follow up visits
    • Full focus on specialized campaigns and reporting in detail on this such as top merchant campaign or area targeted campaigns
    • Uphold company standards and values at all times when representing the brand
    • Monitor competition in the marketplace and share any relevant insights
    • Take full ownership and accountability for resolving customer complaints by investigating problems, offering solutions and making recommendations to management.
    • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through ongoing self and shared learning.

    Qualifications

    • Completed Matric

    Deal breakers:

    • Minimum 3 year’s Field/Outbound Sales experience.
    • Previous exposure working within merchant services or banking sector is advantageous.
    • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.                            
    • Intermediate knowledge using Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sales Software & CRM.            
    • FICA training advantageous.                                                               
    • Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport is essential.
    • Applicants must currently reside in the Mpumalanga Lowveld region. 

    Additional Skills & Knowledge:

    • Proven track record delivering on sales targets and successfully dealing with customer relationships. 
    • Advanced knowledge of Sales funnel & pipeline management.

    Junior Accountant

    Job Description

    • We’re on the lookout for an ambitious Junior Accountant who is eager to learn, grow, and contribute to a high-performing finance team. If you’re detail-oriented, numbers driven and excited about building a strong career in accounting, this could be the perfect next step for you.

    So, what will you do?

    • Assist the Financial Accountant in:
    • Gathering financial data to ensure that all financial transactions are valid, accurate and complete on a monthly basis.
    • Ensuring compliance with IFRS, SARS, CIPC and other relevant legislation/regulations.
    • Ensuring accurate financial processing in preparation of monthly Trial Balance.
    • Ensuring accuracy, existence & completeness of fixed asset register and cash book.  

    In addition to the above, you will:

    Fixed Asset Register:

    • Process all additions on a monthly basis.
    • Process disposals on a monthly basis.
    • Run depreciation and amortisation for month end.
    • Ensure fixed asset register reconciles to GL and to physical assets on hand
    • Ensure tax register is updated monthly.
    • Ensure asset card details are accurate at all times
    • Physical tagging of assets upon import into Fixed Asset Register.

    Cashbook:

    • Ensure all cashbooks are processed daily/weekly.
    • Bank reconciliations performed weekly with no variances.
    • Accuracy of cashbook allocations.
    • Unallocated payments or receipts resolved timeously.

    Reconciliation:

    • Prepare all balance sheet reconciliations for Financial Accountant review.
    • Ensure reconciling items are resolved timeously.

    Journal Entries:

    • Assist Financial Accountant to prepare certain journal entries timeously for Finance Operations Manager review to ensure month end close deadlines are achieved.

    Budgeting & Forecasting:

    • Assist Financial Accountant & FP&A Analyst in balance sheet and working capital budget (with an emphasis on cashflow forecasting).

    Annual Auditing:

    • Assist in the annual audit process.
    • Provide supporting documents requested by external auditors timeously.

    Value Added Tax:

    • Assist Financial Accountant in calculating accurate output and input tax values based on Value Added Tax Act.
    • Assist Financial Accountant in preparing VAT reconciliation to GL.

    Qualifications

    • BTech Accounting Degree/ Diploma or equivalent experience.
    • Completion of or study towards BCom Accounting Degree / Post Graduate Diploma would be advantageous.
    • Completion of or study towards CIMA, SAIPA or equivalent would be advantageous.

    Deal breakers:

    • 2+ years’ experience as a junior accountant, bookkeeper or finance/debtors/creditors/fixed asset/cash book clerk or similar role in an operational finance team.
    • Experience in fintech, financial services, or similar industries would be advantageous.

    Additional Skills & Knowledge:

    • Proven work experience as a Junior Accountant, Bookkeeper or similar role.
    • Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel
    • Prior experience with MS Dynamics 365 would be advantageous.
    • Intermediate knowledge and experience in an accounting / ERP system
    • In-depth understanding of business bookkeeping procedures
    • Foundational knowledge of IFRS accounting standards
    • Foundational knowledge of the South African tax legal framework (i.e., income tax, VAT, PAYE, etc.)
    • Foundational knowledge of other relevant South African legislation and regulations (i.e., Companies Act, B-BBEE, CIPC, etc.)
    • Intermediate knowledge in systems of internal controls and best practices related to these
    • Intermediate knowledge in other finance operations and month-end / year-end close process
    • Intermediate knowledge of business working capital cycles.
