    Events/Exhibitions Sales Rep IV

    About the Role

    • We are seeking a motivated and collaborative Sales Manager to lead business development and account management within the South African market. The role focuses on growing sponsorships, exhibition sales, and digital revenue streams while building strong relationships with National Tourism Boards, associations, and private sector partners.
    • This position offers the opportunity to work on a high-profile international event portfolio, contribute to the strategic growth of WTM Africa, and collaborate with a diverse global team.

    Key Duties:
    Sales & Business Development

    • Develop and execute annual sales plans for South Africa.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, associations, and key stakeholders.
    • Drive new business opportunities through research, outreach, and industry engagement.
    • Prepare and deliver compelling sponsorship and partnership proposals.
    • Maximise revenue across sponsorship, exhibition space, and digital platforms.
    • Negotiate and secure long-term commercial agreements.

    Account & Partnership Management

    • Retain and grow existing accounts by providing exceptional service.
    • Act as the main point of contact for clients from contracting through to event delivery.
    • Support and coordinate with internal teams (marketing, operations, PR) to ensure sponsorships and partnerships are delivered successfully.
    • Ensure accurate reporting and pipeline management using Salesforce.

    Event Support

    • Attend and represent WTM Africa at key industry meetings, conferences, and exhibitions.
    • Be present onsite during the full duration of events, supporting clients and the organising team.
    • Contribute to competitor analysis and sales strategies to ensure the event remains industry-leading.

    Collaboration & Reporting

    • Share market insights to inform strategic direction.
    • Provide weekly sales updates and accurate sponsorship reports.
    • Participate in regular sales meetings and contribute to team initiatives.

    Qualifications & Experience
    Essential:

    • Strong sales experience in exhibitions, events, publishing, tourism, or related industries.
    • Proven track record in consultative selling, negotiation, and securing new business.
    • Ability to manage accounts effectively and build long-term relationships.
    • Familiarity with the South African travel and tourism market.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a team.

    Desirable:

    • Knowledge of the wider travel and tourism industry across Africa.
    • Experience in international exhibitions or events.
    • Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM tools.
    • Creative approach to revenue generation and business development.

    • We’re looking for a highly collaborative and detail‑oriented SA Legal Editor to join the Global Analytical Editorial Operations team. In this role you will curate, enhance, and expand authoritative US legal analysis by partnering with expert authors and leveraging AI‑enabled editorial tools.     Requirements

    • Have a degree in law (LLB, JD, or equivalent); Advanced degree in taxation a plus 
    • Have at least 1 year of professional tax experience in practice, corporate, or advisory settings. 
    • Demonstrated ability to scope requirements for new legal content; edit complex legal analysis for clarity, consistency, and voice. 
    • Be comfortable using LLMs for legal research; skilled at crafting prompts, evaluating outputs, and iterating for optimal results. 
    • Able to interpret market signals, customer feedback, and data to inform content initiatives and drive sustainable growth.

    Technical Editor

    About the Role 

    • As a Technical Editor, you will work within the UK team to deliver Halsbury’s Laws of England, a unique encyclopaedic publication providing the only narrative statement of all the laws of England and Wales.  The role involves researching, writing and editing legal content accurately to create a clear narrative statement reflecting the relevant proposition of English law.

    Responsibilities 

    • Writing and editing statements of the law for publication, following house style and ensuring all material included is accurate 
    • Conducting detailed legal research and closely monitoring legal developments
    • Planning, organising and editing material for publication as discrete volumes/titles, liaising with senior team members and others with regards to content and any other issues
    • Liaising with external consultants and offshore production team to ensure deadlines are met
    • Contributing to commercial development/enhancement of the product as appropriate, generating ideas to improve functionality (online or offline) of content
    • Helping to identify and drive cost savings and revenue enhancing/protecting opportunities across team and department
    • Any other duties as reasonably requested

    Requirements 

    • Have LLB or equivalent law degree essential
    • Have qualification in/experience of working with English law - demonstrating a clear understanding of the way English and Welsh law develops (both the legislative process and common law)
    • Have excellent written English and strong editorial skills as well as the ability to understand, navigate and present complex legal material articulately and accurately
    • Have legal publishing experience and/or legal practice experience along with experience of conducting independent legal research
    • Show strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and professional manner for routine contact with geographically diverse authors/consultants, colleagues, customers and vendors
    • Have good time management skills to meet rigid and frequent deadlines
    • Be technical proficient including mastery of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), familiarity with XML/HTML content management systems, and an interest in learning new systems/technologies
    • Required to come into the office once in a while when requested
