    Lead Development Executive

    Description

    Want to help bring ideas and products to life? We’re looking for a passionate lead Development Executive to join our growing South Africa office in Durban.

    The role

    The Lead Development Executive will be responsible for ensuring timely, personalized, relevant and valuable individual follow up to marketing and database leads within the MMR Family (MMR Research, MMR Express, KICR Innovation, Huxly, Together & Ideal Insight) in line with the marketing strategy.

    Your goal will be to:

    • Identify potential customers either from our existing database, or potential clients who have engaged with our marketing efforts and may wish to know more about our services

    • Elicit a positive response/connection from them and understand their initial interest & suitability

    • Ultimately leading to booking a meeting with a technical sales person to discuss their challenges in more detail and share how we can help.

    You will be looking to build a career in a revenue growth function (such as sales and/or marketing) and will ideally have some experience with sales development or prospecting and working within a sales and/or growth marketing function.

    You will be an excellent listener and communicator, highly self-motivated, organized and with high attention to detail. You will be data-driven and metrics-focused and able to easily pick up the processes and technology platforms you’ll use in your role, and feel free to suggest others that could improve the way we operate.

    Responsibilities

    • Qualify marketing leads (check if they fit our criteria for following up) in terms of company, job title and country.

    • Perform outbound prospecting to contacts within our target accounts, for example sending emails, outbound calls, connecting and messaging via social media.

    • Prioritise leads/segments to contact based on scoring, business priority or other factors.

    • Engage target prospects and deliver our value proposition, qualify requirements and pass on information to commercial and business development teams.

    • Work with growth marketing, commercial and business development teams to develop contact strategies and effective messaging that drive responses.

    • Use sales cadence/automation tools to automate key processes and track effectiveness, enabling continuous improvement of results

    • Generate new business meetings for our commercial and business development teams.

    • Learn and maintain a good understanding and knowledge of the MMR Family offer across business units.

    • Manage, track and report all activities and results using tools such as Access CRM (Sugar CRM), Hubspot and Monday.com.

    Requirements

    • Process-focused, highly motivated self-starter

    • Excellent communication skills via email, social media or telephone

    • Some outbound prospecting experience in B2B and a track record of hitting targets is beneficial

    • Confident telephone presence

    • Great communication skills

    • Strong work ethic

    • Able to analyse results and use learnings to improve future results

    • Some experience with revenue operations tools such as Salesloft, Prospect.io or Reply.io would be useful

    Our Opportunity

    The Growth Marketing Assistant is a B2B marketing role helping to develop and implement our growth marketing strategy across the MMR Group of companies. You will undertake a broad range of essential activities across campaigns, channels and platforms in order to ensure we deliver against business goals.

    You will be looking to build your career in marketing and be highly self-motivated, organized and with high attention to detail. You will also have an analytical and creative streak – meaning you are able to come up with suggestions and new ideas for how to further develop the impact and effectiveness of our marketing.     You will be data-driven and metrics-focused, able to easily pick up the processes and technology platforms you’ll use in your role, and feel free to suggest others that could improve the way we operate.

    You will be joining a company with global growth aspirations and be working as part of a wider, truly global commercial and marketing team.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities will vary (we promise it will never be dull!) across campaign management, social media management and reporting/operations, but may include:

    • Developing effective marketing emails through copywriting, scheduling and A/B testing

    • Helping to copywrite and schedule organic and paid social posts

    • Managing webinar and event guest lists, communicating with the relevant people internally

    • Setting up paid media campaigns in advertising and paid social platforms according to briefs

    • Assist with development of campaign plans

    • Proofreading of event content, eBooks and blog posts

    • Tracking and analysing marketing qualified leads, collating event statistics and feedback into post-campaign reporting

    • Collating and analysing email marketing results

    • Setting up automation rules, workflows, lists and reports in HubSpot to create a seamless customer experience

    • Ensuring marketing investment versus budget is correctly tracked

    • Liaising with designers and creative agencies to ensure creative assets are produced to high standard

    • Weekly reporting of key marketing metrics from Google Analytics, Hubspot and other sources

    • Contributing creative and innovative ideas to improve marketing effectiveness as part of the team

    Requirements

    You know you’re right for this role if you have…

    • A Business or Marketing Services related degree

    • Fluent spoken and written English, excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and influence

    • Some experience or interest in B2B marketing

    • A creative, analytical and inquisitive approach to marketing data

    • Problem solving skills - able to identify the required deliverable/solution and the stages involved in getting there

    • Strong attention to detail

    • A quick learner, with a can-do attitude and enjoys working within a team

    • Some knowledge of marketing tools such as Hubspot or other marketing automation, Linkedin Ads and/or other social media tools.
