    General Technician (Cape Town)

    Job Description

    Job Purpose:

    • The technician is responsible for the servicing, testing and repairing of computer equipment. This could include PCs, Tablets, Notebooks, PSUs, UPSs, monitors, printers, cash registers and/or other related equipment and components depending on the requirements of the position.
    • The technician also provides technical support to customers relevant to the specific area/discipline.

    Responsibilities:

    Technical Service

    • Complete optimum number of repairs per day according to the specific discipline. Keep to a productivity level of 90%.
    • Complete work within the turnaround time of less than two days.
    • Maintain work rate at above 90% of SLA.
    • Maintaining a rework rate of below 3%.
    • Follow the correct test process for international brands.
    • Log test results on the job management system.
    • Accept repairs on job management system immediately after removing the item from the customer store.
    • Follow up with customers awaiting feedback and update the notes on job management system. Update the customer on the job progress.
    • Return 100% of test stock to service stores within 2 days from receipt.
    • Complete applicable forms, such as fault reports, daily.
    • Assist the production line with assembly and quality checking (QC) as needed.

    Customer Focus

    • Communicate with customers in a friendly and professional manner as representative of Mustek.
    • Maintain a professional image with the necessary attention to being neatly dressed.

    General

    • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
    • Stay abreast of technological advancements pertaining to product range.
    • Provide customer support, either via e-mail, telephonic or at the front desk.
    • Make recommendations to direct superior in terms of growth, better customer service, etc.
    • Escalate problems or concerns to Supervisor or Manager without delay so that the necessary solutions can be arranged timeously.

    Qualification and Experience:

    • Matric
    • CompTIA A+
    • N+ (Preferred)
    • 2 years’ experience as an IT technician
    • Basic Electronics will be advantageous 
    • Driver’s license (Preferred)

    Skills and Knowledge:

    • Good knowledge of internal quality procedures
    • Knowledge of ICT industry
    • Product offering software and hardware technical knowledge
    • Computer literacy especially in Microsoft applications skills
    • Technical skills
    • Problem solving skills (analytical)

    Front Counter Clerk (Cape Town)

    Job Description

    Job Purpose:

    • Providing excellent customer service, to greet customers and answer their questions in a friendly, conversational manner.
    • Communicate effectively with other members of staff and maintain a professional attitude even in the face of challenges, such as an irate client.

    Responsibilities:

    Front Counter Service

    • Accountabilities include, but not limited to:
    • Accuracy in all areas of book in page with full fault description, spelling, fault categories, POP’s and passwords.
    • To ensure that all units are assessed for physical damages and that all accessories are noted on all job cards.
    • Ensure accurate returning of customer repaired goods to customer collecting (where required)
    • To attach all job cards to completed jobs portal on studio on a daily basis.
    • Escalate unresolved customer querie4s to Technical Supervisor or Manager.
    • Ensure quick and effective repairs on DOA’s and quick repairs.

    Environmental

    • Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
    • Wearing of PPE clothing on a weekly basis.
    • Keep work areas clean at all times.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Matric
    • A+ or technical qualification an advantage
    • 1 year administrative/reception experience

    Internal Sales Executive (Midrand)

    Job Description

    Job Purpose:

    • The Internal Sales Executive will be responsible for promoting and selling Mustek's products and services to.

    Responsibilities:

    Sales

    • Identify client markets and design a sales strategy to fit each client's requirements.
    • Advise on forthcoming product developments and discuss special promotions.
    • Provides customers with necessary product support and basic technical support.
    • Build relationships with customers through regular communication via e-mail, phone and visits.
    • Attend product training programmes and know the relevant product range.
    • Maintain records of new customers, potential customers, deleted customers and changes in the region or sales environment to ensure cost effective coverage of the territory.

     Sales Targets

    • Ensure attainment of monthly sales targets including YTD targets.
    • Ensure YTD target is maintained if monthly target is not achieved.
    • Review your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets.

     Sales Opportunities

    • Drive sales of all Mustek products, by developing, identifying, and securing all relevant sales opportunities.
    • Identify new markets/business opportunities and convert dormant customers to active customers.
    • Maximise sales opportunities during special promotions.

     Customer Satisfaction

    • Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers via customer visits and meetings, telephone calls and emails.
    • Work closely with team members to ensure high customer satisfaction.
    • Gather market/customer information and utilise it effectively to impact sales positively.
    • Respond to messages received through e-mail or telephone. Take steps to ensure messages are being responded to when not available.

    General

    • Ad hoc duties as required by the needs of the business
    • Provide support as required.

    Qualification and Experience:

    • Matric
    • Tertiary qualification in sales and/or marketing will be advantageous.
    • Driver’s license
    • 2 years’ experience in a sales target driven environment, within ICT would be an advantage
