    • SALARY : R280 278 - R330 162 per annum (Level 06) CENTRE : Kimberley Ref No: S4.1/08/01 (X3 Posts) Mothibistad Ref No: S4.1/08/02 (X1 Post) Olifantshoek Ref No: S4.1/08/03 (X2 Posts) Richmond Ref No: S4.1/08/04 (X1 Post) Springbok Ref No: S4.1/08/05 (X1 Post) Upington Ref No: S4.1/08/06 (X2 Posts) Britstown Ref No: S4.1/08/07 (X4 Posts)

    REQUIREMENTS :

    • Matric Certificate or Grade 12 Valid code B driving Licence with manual transmission Traffic Officer Diploma accredited by a Traffic Training Institution approved by the Road Traffic Management Corporation. Computer Literate.
    • Be medically fit and be able to work under strenuous conditions SAPS Clearance Certificate- No criminal record or pending case. Be willing to be vetted.

    Knowledge and Skills:

    • Good record and resource management. Good customer relationship management abilities. Completion of law enforcement documents Knowledge and understanding of road traffic and public transport legislation, policies and guidelines.
    • Knowledge of vehicle inspections and 230 vehicle impoundment. Knowledge of firearm and ammunition Act 60/2000 Code of conduct within the Public Service Knowledge of overload control and escort duties.
    • Knowledge of operational guidelines on law enforcement equipment. Ability to work under pressure. Good observation skills (moving violations/defects). Good driving and negotiation skills. Sound interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. Good written and verbal communication skills in at least two of the provincial official languages.

    DUTIES :

    • Enforce Road Traffic, Public Passenger and Transport legislations. Examine driver licences and motor vehicles and vehicle testing stations. Provide visible Traffic Control/ Policing and promote crime prevention activities. Perform all administrative activities and related duties
