Job Description
Role Overview
This role delivers business communication to Business Unit staff, stakeholders and customers, in line with OML communication protocols and guidelines. The incumbent is individually accountable for achieving results through their own efforts.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement communication plans for the various internal and external audiences.
Interview, collect content data and write communication messages directed at selected audiences – including staff, stakeholder or customer digital communications.
Identify communication opportunities and/or brand risks and develop messages to leverage/mitigate these issues.
Monitor the internal (staff) and external (customer/stakeholder) communications audience and develop approaches to increase readership/engagement rates.
Manage, in partnership with Central Communications and PR team, the optimisation of MFC coverage via the various social and PR media channels.
Provide communication support to the MFC Senior Management group in terms of internal communications and selected scripting requirements for the stakeholder function.
Requirements
A degree or equivalent in Communications or Journalism
Minimum 3 years experience working in a Communications environment (Corporate environment ideal)
Experience in financial services advantageous
Proficient in MS Office
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Advanced editing skills
Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
Experience with social media platforms
Experience working with digital content management
Preference will be given to suitably qualified candidates in line with the Employment Equity Plan of Old Mutual South Africa and the specific business unit in question.

Job Description
Consolidate and analyse data across all business units, compile information, present insights and optimize quality through analysis ad modelling.
Work closely with business to understand and prioritise their informational needs by creating access to information and consistently direct them to appropriate data sources.
Ensure that tracking mechanisms (reports) are in place to track progress of strategic and tactical initiatives with a key focus on quality of output and timeous delivery.
Establish productive operational relationships with key stakeholders in the various channels and administrative teams.
Cost control and governance adherence
Support the identification, development and implementation of cost-effective processes to increase efficiency and reduce cost drivers.
Comply with corporate governance policies, procedures and standards.
Continuous improvement to ensure effective service
Ensure adherence to organisational policies, practices and procedures.
Identify and recommend areas or ways to improve processes.
