    Store Manager - PEP Pelican Park (6597) (Western Cape)

    PURPOSE OF POSITION:

    • Leading a store team to meet business KPIs including driving sales, cost control,  mitigating risks and stock loss, administration and ensuring world class store standards. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Increase sales by focusing on customer service and world-class store standards, maintenance of the store image, stock management and promotional implementation
    • Stock loss is minimised by having a healthy store culture and following security measures, stock and cash handling procedures.
    • Manage cost according to the company low cost culture by driving efficiencies in the store.
    • Ensure administrative duties within the store are done according to the company guidelines.
    • Leading a dynamic team of Dynamos - taking responsibility for team training, coaching and performance.

    Data Analyst (Western Cape)

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB 

    • We are seeking a skilled and business-minded Data Analyst to join our Marketing team supporting the Cellular Networks and Products portfolio — including handsets, SIM cards, accessories, airtime and the loyal customers who shop in stores to buy them.
    • You will collaborate closely with the Head of Department and the Business Managers to guide strategic decisions, optimise performance, and deliver customer-centric insights. Your work will influence one of the fastest-growing and most innovative product categories in our retail environment.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

    Data-Driven Decision Support: 

    • Analyse customer and product performance to support the team
    • Develop reports and dashboards using SQL, Python/R, and modern data visualisation tools
    • Evaluate promotions, sales trends, SIM card usage and behavioural patterns in cellular product uptake

    Strategic Modelling:

    • Build models to support commercial decisions and identify growth opportunities
    • Translate data into clear recommendations for department strategies

    Systems & Project Delivery:

    • Leverage Google’s tools such as BigQuery and Looker Studio
    • Provide specifications for data tables & products to be built or optimised by our data engineering team

    Requirements
    ROLE  REQUIREMENTS 

    Education & Experience

    • Degree in Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
    • 5+ years’ experience in a retail, telco, ecommerce, or marketing analytics environment

    Technical Proficiency

    • Advanced skills in BigQuery SQL, Python or R
    • Data visualisation using Data Studio, Tableau, or Power BI
    • Strong command of Excel and Google Workspace
    • Solid understanding of data modelling, data quality, and privacy regulations (e.g. POPIA)

    Soft Skills

    • Strong business acumen and analytical mindset
    • Able to communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
    • Comfortable working cross-functionally with marketing, IT, and business teams

    • To be a servant leader, promoting sales, reducing stock losses, managing stock, leading and growing a team of Dynamos, and to maintain a low-cost culture in order to meet business goals.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Increase sales by focusing on exceptional customer service and world-class store standards, maintenance of the store image, presentation and promotion of stock, stock management, promotional implementation, and correct pricing of products according to our price image guidelines within the area.
    • Stock loss is minimized by having a healthy culture and following security measures, stock, and cash handling procedures within the area.
    • Manage a low-cost business according to the company's low-cost culture by driving efficiencies in the area.
    • Ensure administrative duties within the stores are done on time, every time according to the company guidelines. Together with overseeing your own area admin as required. 
    • Leading a dynamic team of Dynamos - taking responsibility for team training, coaching, and performance within a Sikhula KunYe company culture. 
    • People Management by overseeing all aspects of the areas’ people support function.  

    Requirements
    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Grade 12. 
    • Relevant tertiary education - a degree/diploma in a business/retail-related field would be an advantage.
    • Ideally, 3-5 years experience in a retail environment within a leadership/managerial role.
    • Computer Literate. (Microsoft and/or Google GSuite - will be an advantage).
    • Valid Code 8 manual driver’s license with a willingness to travel extensively.
