    Account Director

    Job Description

    Scope of the role

    • To implement and manage the successful creation, integration, development and roll-out of client campaign communication.

    Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

    • Strategically lead your portfolio of accounts and build strong, long lasting relationships
    • Ability to offer sound recommendations and add real value that positively influences the business
    • Identify and maximise new business growth in collaboration with the client
    • Be the “go to” person on their (client) brand across all communication disciplines
    • Collaborate with and act as a team player with the staff compliment
    • Mentor, grow and act as a layer of support to your direct reports (Account Manager & BTA) as well as the broader Client Service team
    • Work in and open and honest way with your line manager ensuring that issues are raised quickly
    • Show value by identifying potential business opportunities for both the Agency, Groupe as well as Client
    • Play an active role in working on new business pitches as and when required
    • Nurture and grow your Account Manager from the start; support them in the operational and client relationship success of their day to day work
    • Grow strong partnerships with the various allocated discipline individuals to ensure they are able to deliver work that generates measurable business results for the clients
    • Support and maintain the host agencies culture across your team
    • Work with your Account Managers, Account Directors and BUD to help shift your clients relationships from pure execution to become more consultative partners who add real value
    • Proactively contribute to the on-going vision of the agency, leading by example and driving an innovative spirit within the (PO1) team
    • Respect the operational processes at all times
    • Responsible for client and employee reviews with the aim to improve scores year on year
    • Ensure campaigns are fully integrated and deliver on brief requirements
    • Take ownership of your accounts finances and ensure CE's and billings are completed on time as outlined by the Finance team
    • Keep abreast of market developments, trends and innovation in order to identify potential opportunities for the agency and your clients (maintain industry best practice)
    • Ability to scope projects from a resourcing and timing POV

    Qualifications

    • Relevant tertiary qualification in Business Management / Marketing / Communication / Advertising
    • Proficient in MS Office (i.e. Word / Excel / PowerPoint)
    • Minimum 6 year’s working experience in an Advertising Agency in Client Service with 1 year being an Account Director 
    • Proven experience in strategically leading client accounts
    • Successfully identifying and driving new business opportunities
    • TTL & Digital experience is essential
    • A good command of the English language (both verbal and written)
    • Excellent administration and organizational skills
    • Strong time management skills
    • Strong multi-tasking skills (ability to work on multiple briefs at any given time)
    • Strong leadership skills
    • Social media savvy
    • Solid understanding of the brands you work on from a brand and in market POV

    Senior Traffic Manager

    Job Description

    The Role:

    • This exciting role is for a Senior Traffic Manager in our Cape Town office.  We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills and that can work along-side account managers to ensure projects are resourced to maximum efficiency, while keeping the business, the people and client priorities top of mind. The role requires admin, accuracy and strong attention to detail; you will be a well-organized and unflappable. We are looking for someone with extensive experience in advertising agencies (Digital, TTL, Social).

    Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

    • Schedule and traffic work into studio, social media, strategy and content marketing from small tasks to large workflows across digital, social and TTL campaigns. 
    • Facilitate creative workflow planning with Projects Managers, Account Managers, and department heads.
    • Interact with Account Managers and the Production team
    • Plan and facilitate planning & key account management meetings
    • Plan and find solutions and lead capacity planning with the rest of the traffic team
    • Help guide the junior traffic team on their career paths along-side the Operations Director
    • Manage timesheets and reports
    • Manage freelancers and submission of invoices

    Qualifications

    • A relevant tertiary qualification
    • Minimum 5 years’ working experience as a Traffic Manager within an advertising agency with 1 year working as a Senior Traffic Manager
    • Proficient in MS Office (i.e. Word / Excel / PowerPoint etc.)
    • Knowledge of and experience in Chase is essential
    • Knowledge and experience working with Resource Guru will be an added advantage. 
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage key stakeholders

    Traffic Manager

    Job Description

    Scope of the role

    • This role is the central point of contact for all work that flows through the Creative (studio) team to the Client Service team: schedule and traffic work i.e. social media, strategy and content marketing from small tasks to large workflows across TTL, Social and Digital campaigns. The successful candidate must ensure that all internal meetings surrounding client jobs and pitches are scheduled and that the relevant personnel are in attendance.

    Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

    • Facilitate creative workflow planning with creatives, Account Managers and department heads
    • Ensure communication is clear to all working on a client brief or pitch
    • Monitor all resource requirements across the studio and alert Creative Heads if there are problems
    • Ensure all deliverables are completed within the scheduled timelines
    • Interact with Account Managers and the production team
    • Source and manage freelancers
    • Ensure timesheets are completed (accurately) and submitted
    • Work closely with the Executive Creative Director to assign specific tasks to Creatives
    • Schedule and facilitate daily stand-ups with studio / creatives to ensure they are clear about their workload and responsibilities
    • Problem-solve resource issues as and when they arise
    • Ensure all key dates for review and approval of work is communicated to and understood by each member of the teams assigned to each client project
    • Ensure all jobs can be tracked and are easily accessible to all internal stakeholders
    • Manage and monitor all daily activities and deadlines
    • Monitor schedules and workloads of all permanent and freelance staff
    • Work with the relevant teams to ensure projects are delivered accurately and invoiced on time and within budget
    • Assist in de-briefing projects with the Client Services team, Studio, relevant Dept Heads to assess the performance of relevant projects,

    Qualifications

    • A relevant tertiary qualification
    • Minimum 3 years experience as an Assistant Traffic Manager / Junior Traffic Manager in a TTL Advertising Agency (or in a similar environment i.e. Radio)
    • Proficient in MS Office (i.e. Outlook / Excel /  Word / PowerPoint etc.)
    • Chase experience is essential.
    • MS Project and Resource Guru is advantageous
    • Well versed in Digital
    • A good command of the English language (both verbal and written)
    • Strong multi-taksing skills
    • Strong administration and organizational sklls
    • Good project management skills
    • Good analytical and numeracy skills
