ROLE PURPOSE:

• Leading the production operational team at Head Office, giving stakeholders a targeted return on investment.
• Development and manufacturing of products and solutions to all internal and external customers.
• Respond, attend, and resolve all customer requirements and expectations.
• Manage people and processes to achieve outputs as per KPI.

SCOPE/SPAN OF CONTROL

• To report directly to the Operations HOD.
• Roles who would report directly to the Production Manager are: Painting Foreman, Bearing Assembly and Recon Foreman, Night Shift Assistant Foreman and Production/General foreman.
• Makes final decisions for functional areas within PABT framework of authority.
• Escalate judgement on escalation decisions.
• Internal communication at all levels up to GM level and maintain good inter department relationships.
• Maintain very close interactions with suppliers and service providers and interact with customers at levels in functional area of responsibility.

KEY FUNCTIONS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Pump assembly and control.
• Safety and ISO Quality Management.
• Repairs Management.
• Logistics Management.
• Ensure a safe environment for workers.
• Motivate workers to be productive.
• Assess tasks to be carried out.
• Manage the shipping, cleaning, and assessment of customer pumps.
• Keep admin up to date and daily, weekly, and monthly reports to Operations HOD.
• Ensure contractors are on schedule.
• Support sales management with timeous deliveries. Notify sales of any delay.
• Update internal operating system timeously.
• Attend to maintenance issues at Pump and Abrasion Technologies as requested.
• Lead and manage labour hour costing, labour price list control, manage and control of labour hours, productive targets, factory cost controlled, budget forecasting, WIP and Labour forecast and planning, quality control, achieve set KPIs, safe and efficient operations.
• Skills development: resource planning, balance scorecards, General HR skill, healthy team environment and employee development.
• New methods of manufacturing.
• These key functions, responsibilities and duties are only a basic outline and not strictly limited to the above.

KEY COMPETENCIES, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Administration and report writing experience.
• Computer literate with the following but not limited to Microsoft package.
• Must be familiar with sales targets.
• Ability to successfully manage tight deadlines and multitask.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Professional appearance and grooming are essential.
• Knowledge of Occupation Health and Safety Act and Efficient. Operations Act.
• People management and organizational skills

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Grade 12.
• Qualified Artisan or related qualification in business / operations Management.
• 5-10 years’ experience as a production foreman (product or industry specific experience).
• Must have Operations experience in the Mining or Engineering Industry

RESPONSIBILITIES

• The role is to oversee a portfolio of assigned clients and foster long-term, trusting relationships. It is expected of the Sales engineer to comprehensively understand and know the products and services PABT has to offer to industry and build up an in-depth technical knowledge of the product benefits and what it means for the end user.
• The main responsibility of the SE is to support the Regional/Area Manager in achieving the respective area's yearly target, ultimately contributing to the company's overall yearly target.

Key responsibilities required for the day-to-day activities include, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Gather relevant value adding information on allocated clients.
• Contact clients to understand their requirements and execute sales plan.
• Provide after-sales support to retain customers.
• Ensure prompt and accurate answers to clients' queries.
• Build strong client relationships, through regular communication.
• Report on the status of accounts
• Suggest company products/services that maximize client satisfaction.
• Communicate product and pricing details clearly where and when required.
• Coordinate with Regional/Area Manager to create customized sales plans for key clients.
• Promote new products/services to existing customers.
• Commissioning of Pumps
• Site visits
• Monitoring pump reliability
• Opening of new sites/clients

Requirements:

• Matric
• BEng Mechanical or Metallurgical Degree or B Tec Mechanical, Chemical, Process Engineering
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Project management tools.
• Excellent leadership and decision-making skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Pump experience
• At least 4 years work experience at a mine or within a Slurry Pump Company
• Must have a valid Driver’s license

Job Description

• We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Creditors Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• This is an office-based role in Centurion

KEY FUNCTIONS OF ROLE, BUT LIMITED TO:

• Scanning POD’s and matching invoices
• Ensuring Curve Gear payments are processed and paid accordingly, including Supplier and temp staff payments
• Filing SAD 500 and requesting of those documents
• Assisting all staff with general admin
• Capturing Invoices on Syspro
• Processing payments on Syspro
• Processing and capturing payments
• Uploading payments on the bank
• Complete credit applications and load on Syspro
• Creditors recons
• Verify the correctness and completeness of payments packs
• Follow up invoicing and GRN process on COD suppliers
• Responsible for month end reporting
• Monthly provisions

KEY COMPETENCIES & REQUIREMENTS:

• BCom Degree or any other relevant qualification in Accounting is essential.
• At least 2 years’ Finance experience.
• Must have Syspro experience
• Strong financial performance
• Must be confident to work on his/her own initiative.
• Must be able to work well under pressure and able to successfully manage tight deadlines and multitask.
