    National Programme Specialist

    The foundation is looking for a National Programmes Specialist. The National Programmes Specialist role involves strategic formulation and management of national programmes as well as leading logistics activities and new/adhoc projects. The role assists the Do More Foundation with data formulation and collection for various project initiatives whilst engaging with varying beneficiaries and stakeholders. 

    Minimum Requirements    

    • A minimum of a 3-year National Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
    • 3 to 5 years of proven experience in a logistics or distribution role.
    • Strong understanding of logistics and distribution principles & practices, including planning & costing of stock.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly in Excel
    • A valid driver’s license.

    Duties & Responsibilities    
    System/data management

    • Manage DO MORE’s data/information system
    • Plan, lead and manage the build of a system
    • Build models to assist with planning, costing, and budgeting 
    • Calculate models for the number of meals provided by the foundation
    • Formulation and maintenance of distribution costing models 

    Logistics

    • Production/Budget forecasts and analysis
    • Manage the nutrition budget (R12Mil)
    • Beneficiary planning based on funder contributions and confirm deliveries. 
    • Collecting and accurately capturing beneficiary data of children, meals provided etc
    • Assist the partnership team to work on proposal budgets based on porridge data
    • Partner with the partnership team with submitting funder reports with supply of data
    • Vet all organizations the foundation works with
    • Annual Memorandum Of Agreement contract sign-ups with RTO’s
    • Uploading of RTO invoices to Workflow
    • Attend RTO feedback & support meetings for logistics support
    • Attend to queries relating to porridge distribution
    • Porridge costings for interested buying organisations 
    • Look at short term/adhoc porridge supply
    • Respond to RFP’s

    Merchandise

    • Order all sales merchandise and promotional stock
    • Manage the monthly stock reconciliation and stock counts
    • Calculate profit/loss on stock sales
    • Liaise with payroll teams regarding recovery of merchandise sales through payroll deduction
    • Management of the Do More Store room and inventory

    National Programmes

    • EAT LOVE PLAY TALK (ELPT), Repurpose 4 Purpose(R4P), Duplo
    • Formulate Scaling wide strategies for National Programmes (expanding the programmes into new communities)
    • Implementation of existing national programmes for community, other non-profits and corporates/business
    • Master training logistics and training arrangements for all National programmes
    • Coordinating Trainers for programme roll-out
    • Annual review of alternative resource for ELPT
    • Project management of National Programmes
    • Establishing of distribution networks

    Learning material (R4P and ELTP and other)

    • Collect and collate the stats around distribution of materials 
    • Manage the distribution of training materials that are accompanied with the resources to ensure use on the ground
    • Manage the production pipeline and distribution pipeline 

    Document Consolidation 

    • Collect essential documents, collating them into summarised files and providing these to the finance team to obtain BBEEE points:
    • Beneficiary analysis reports / recent SED affidavit / BEE certificates /S18A certificates per organization
    • Letters of acknowledgements (specific to beneficiaries) / Letters of donation / Thank you letters
    • Pick up slips (proof of donation)
    • NPO and PBO certificates
    • Ensuring that City Logistics receives the necessary documents for business benefits
    • Arrange for all resources to support the programme (including plug-ins from the Repurpose for Purpose project – food cards and RSM posters as well as working with the RCL FOODS teams to secure donation items and digital vouchers for caregivers)

    Animal organisations

    • Facilitate quarterly follow ups with all beneficiaries with partnership team
    • Facilitate donations of food, ordering, ensuring delivery
    • Respond to animal welfare donation requests and keep a running database of future potential beneficiaries
    • Management of animal food budget (R800k)
    • Calculating model for food swap requests

    Near to expired products and other donations

    • Complete FOC reports and ensure received monthly
    • Follow up and connect with Vector depots and RCL BU’s for donations stock 
    • Compilation of approval documents
    • Follow up with beneficiaries to ensure S18A and thank you letters are received on behalf of RCL Foods
    • Assist the Do More accountant in preparing and updating the working document for the annual tax submission
    • Follow up on outstanding queries and documentation for the near to expire stock
    • Manage the near to expire stock tracker including ensuring that the More Metre is updated and is circulated to the Do More Communications team and MEL Officer
    • Supply the RCL Sustainability team with final feeding numbers for FY close off

    Commercial Manager

    The primary objective of this position is to provide commercial/financial support to the Pongola Sugar Mill in order to manage the business effectively.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • CA (SA) / CIMA Accounting degree essential.
    • Sound financial and commercial accounting experience with at least 5 years practical experience
    • Experience in budgeting, cost management & forecasting processes
    • Advanced MS Excel & SAP experience is a prerequisite.
    • The ability to pay attention to detail and accuracy is critical for this position
    • The individual needs to be an action-orientated, self-starter with good communication skills
    • Experience in the sugar industry is advantageous.
    • To be considered for appointment, candidate must be a South African citizen

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Engage with operations to maintain a comprehensive understanding of operational activities & provide an overall commercial / financial management service
    • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of operational activities in the business
    • Manage cost through liaison with departmental managers & provide pro-active business insights 
    • Maintain the production order process & ensure the ongoing relevance of the Activity-based-costing model.
    • Compile monthly management reports & explain deviations
    • Compile annual business plans & periodic forecasting
    • Manage the capital expenditure & reporting thereof
    • Participate in regular physical sugar stock verification
    • Provide the business with guidance on sound Corporate Governance and best audit practices
    • Continues drive to reduce working capital
    • Responsible for the management of subordinates and the financial service rendered to various stakeholders.
