    General Worker

    Minimum Requirements

    Minimum Requirements    
    Education & Qualifications

    Knowledge

    • Receiving and despatch principles and procedures.
    • Warehlouse-based business processes and practises.
    • SAP knowledge is important to the role, particularly when standing in for the Despatch Supervisor.

    Skills

    • Literacy.

    • SAP skills an advantage(Vector SAP or RCL Consumer SAP) when applying for the position.

    Experience and Training

    • 1 years' relevant experience in a store or warehouse environment.

    Duties & Responsibilities    
    Checking Paperwork against GRN and POD

    • Making sure that all paperwork send to RCL Foods customers are receipted and return to dispatch as proof of delivery. Sorting according to their shipment and handed over to finance for reconciliation daily.
    • Sort and Filling of all dispatch document according to their category.
    • Update all systematically file such as Seal register, Equipment Control Sheet and equipment recon daily.
    • Checking and Despatching of Stock
    • Before loading the vehicle, adhere to checklist for the vehicle and check that the: Vehicle is clean
    • Pre-cooling has been done
    • Temperature spec control has been checked to be at correct temperature
    • Ensure that the vehicle that is being used has the required space for the load bars to be loaded correctly
    • Ensure that the vehicle is the correct height to ensure it meets the customer requirements for off-loading
    • Check that the picked stock matches against that to be loaded for accuracy against the customer’s order, and correct any loaded variances / disparity.
    • Ensure that stock to be despatched is done in an efficient, compliant and timely manner and ensure the correct snake loading procedures are followed.
    • Once the truck is confirmed as accurately loaded, close the truck doors and seal the truck with a numbered seal
    • This seal number should then be recorded against a fleet number for the truck in a seal register.
    • Collates completed loading documents for capturing into the system (eg: SAP )
    • Records loading start and finish times to determine how long things are taking for checking and loading of vehicles, and reports to the Despatch Supervisor any loading delays that may impact the ability to despatch on time.
    • Record pallets and all other returnable packaging despatched onto the truck.
    • Assist the Trip Recon process by ensuring that all required documents are provided daily to the Despatch Supervisor, who in turn will check and pass on the site financial team who will complete the actual Trip Recon.
    • The documents required for Woolworths are: Trip Sheet; Signed Delivery Notes; Consignment Note; Acceptance of stock printout from Woolworths

     Accepting Stock from Production

    • Accept stock from production by:
    • Checking that lugs are packed correctly
    • Lugs are stacked correctly onto dollies
    • Dollies are packed full where possible
    • Different stock for different customers and regions are not mixed
    • Stock have been checked by QC
    • If there is stock that needs to be returned to production, isolate it in readiness for quality to check before sending back.

    Accepting Stock from Outside Storage facility

    • Stock is sometimes required to the held at offsite facilities, particularly in peak periods. This stock may be returned to the site for defrosting and despatching on to the customer, along with other stock that has been produced on site.
    • Responsible for receiving this stock and ensuring that this matches that which is on the paperwork required.
    • Complete visual checks for damages
    • Advise the Planning and MRP Co-ordinator that stock has been received and provide copies of documentation to them to enable them to continue with the planning of orders.

    Stock Take and Housekeeping

    • Responsible for checking that stock is placed in the correct places within the despatch area to make stock count as easy as possible.
    • Ensure high levels of housekeeping are maintained and that any issues are reported to the Despatch Supervisor.
    • Assist in the stock count process as required monthly or in weekly cycle counting
    • Ensure that all housekeeping and paperwork is correctly filed and stored at all times

     Customer Equipment (lugs and dolleys) and Returnable Packaging

    • When customers send equipment (eg: lugs and dolleys) or returnable packaging (eg: pallets and chep crates) with the vehicle that comes to collect the stock, the despatch clerk needs to ensure that the physical items matches that which is recorded on the customer’s paperworkOn completion of checking, It should be captured on the system and relevant recons.
    • All discrepancies that cannot be resolved need to be escalated to the Despatch Supervisor

    General

    • Assist in any activities or tasks as requested by the Despatch Supervisor.

    HR Practitioner - Centurion (Speciality)

    • RCL FOODS is on the hunt for an experienced HR Practitioner to join our Baking Division (Speciality). The HR Practitioner will report to the HR Business Partner and will be based at Centurion.
    • The purpose of the role is to ensure effective Human Resources support to the business unit/factory through adequate delivery of HR Services, practices, procedures.

    Employee Relations

    Storeman

    Job Description    

    • RCL FOODS is seeking to employ a Storeman. The role will be based in Randfontein and will report into the Warehouse Supervisor.
    • The Storeman will be responsible to manage warehouses in terms of stock rotation, balance stock, receive stock from plants, open bins in warehouses, stock transfers, daily warehouse pallet count and monthly stock counts.

    • All stock to be binned neatly and correctly daily.

    Claim Management:

    • Receive claims
    • Verify all claims submitted by Vector are price related claims
    • Investigate possible causes of claims, calculate correct costing of claims and confirm values being claimed.
    • Gather all relevant evidence and supporting documentation for valid and invalid claims.
    • Ensure that all claims are updated and submitted timeously to relevant parties.
    • Follow-up with Customers on outstanding invalid claims
    • Ensure that all outstanding claims are signed off and submitted for payments.
    • Clear claims from system within 60 days

    General Administration:

    • Co-ordinate, plan and prepare for all meetings and presentations.

    Supply Planner

    Job Description    

    • RCL FOODS is seeking a Supply Planner to join the Groceries Division. The role will be based in Randfontein, Gauteng and will report into the Supply Chain Manager.
    • The Supply Planner will be responsible to develop and prepare both the short and longer term supply planning for finished goods, as well as packaging and ingredients, using the forward forecast and balancing it against supply constraints to optimise customer service at minimal cost. All this needs to be done considering product mix to maximise profit when making supply choices.
    • The role will require working closely with other supply planners, production, material requirements planner, demand planners and the distribution team, call centre to proactively ensure that there are no interruptions in supply.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Relevent degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or Industrial Engineering.
    • 3 - 5 years operational experience, preferably within the production planning environment.
    • Strong operations processing experience and experience within a supply planning role is advantageous.
    • SAPICS or APICS are also preferred.
    • Computer literacy (SAP, Syspro, Barnton and MS Office skills prerequisite).

    Knowledge:

    • Production planning skills with strong knowledge of supply chain.
    • Syspro skills and/or knowledge of supply chain planning tool (e.g.: Barnton).
    • Strong Excel skills.
    • Supply chain principles, practices and tools.

    Functional Strategy into Action:

    Supply Planning – Medium Term:

    • Develop the national supply plan across all assigned processing plants by balancing the forward demand plan against the processing plants capacity for the next 12 - 18 months.
    • Identify where targeted days cover or make to order customer orders cannot be met and make recommendations on how to achieve this.
    • Manage stock in both quarantine and available for sale to ensure stock is released quickly enough to enable customer service level targets to be met.

    Short Term Supply Planning:

    • On a weekly basis review demand, stock cover requirements and stock holding positions to provide guidance on priorities, both by SKU or customer, and provide a clear steer to the distribution team on how to allocate stock.
    • Ensure all decisions made drive optimal customer service while maximising profitability and minimising transport costs between regions.

    Finished Goods Stock Management using National Days Cover:

    • Calculate the stock targets by SKU by using the relevant information to input in the inventory optimisation model.
    • Propose stock level targets for agreement by the Supply Chain Management for both national and regional levels (for all stock holding points).

    Sales and Operations Planning:

    • Develop the overall supply plan that will be used as input into the company wide S&OP process.
    • Provide input into the Supply Planning Meetings and Supply Chain Review on where the risks are for shortages, excess stocks and potential write-offs are for Packaging and Ingredients, as well as for Finished Goods.

    Innovation/Discontinuation:

    • Drive the coordination for delivery of innovation into the supply chain including attending the innovation meetings and representing the Supply Chain in these forums.
    • Actively manage down stock being discontinued, including working with distribution to exit a sku.

    Supply Chain Reporting:

    • Update the scorecards with the relevant KPI's on a weekly/monthly basis and issue.
    • Issue the agreed national outbound supply chain reports on a week/monthly basis as appropriate.
    • Understand the variances against targets for key KPI's and provide explanations and corrective actions required.
    • Generate the agreed weekly supply planning packs/reports and associated minutes.

    Outbound Supply Chain Project Coordination:

    • Be involved in projects that drive cost savings or system improvements (e.g. system tools).

    Information and Data Management:

    • Ensure team members accurately and regularly capture data into SAP, Syspro and Barnton and any shared spreadsheets to enable access to reliable data and reporting for trend analysis and decision making.
    • Ensure all planning master data is 100% accurate in planning tools.
    • Share relevant data with management teams to enable reliable business decision making.

    Administration:

    • Oversee filing and safeguarding of records within area of responsibility.
    • Compile ad hoc spreadsheets when required.

    Team Coordination and Development of Self:

    • Take ownership and accountability for tasks and activities and demonstrate effective self-management in terms of planning, prioritising and self-development.
    • Follow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards of work are consistently and accurately maintained.
